East Midlands Airport information
The airfield, originally RAF Castle Donnington was decommissioned after the Second World War in 1946. Local government then purchased the site in 1964 and the airfield was re-opened as East Midlands Airport to reflect the area that it served, with the first commercial passengers taking to the air in 1965.
Situated in Leicestershire close to Castle Donnington it is owned exclusively by MAG (Manchester Airports Group) the largest British-owned airport operator.
In 2015 it was the 11th busiest airport in the UK by passenger traffic, with 4.5 million passengers. A popular airport for travellers from the heart of England, it is an established hub for low-cost operators such as Jet2.com, Ryanair and Flybe as well as tour operators Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines.

On-Airport Parking at East Midlands Airport

Long Stay Parking at East Midlands Airport
There are a number of Long Stay car parks at East Midlands Airport, the closest being the Long-Stay 1, Long-Stay 2 and Long-Stay 3 which are approx. 5-7 minutes walk from the terminal.

Midlands Parking Meet & Greet - non flex
Very shocked to arrive only to be told we had to pay on entry and also on exit which amounted to an extra £12 on top of the booking for no real additional service. I could have paid less and parked in the next car park to walk the same distance.

Great service. We're there to meet us as agreed. In fact we were a little late a received a phone call to say they were there and had we any issues. Came with me and advised how to use the car park machine. On arrive late at night we were advised to stay in the terminal for 15 mins or so as it was very cold outside and they didn't want us stood around outside whilst our car arrived. Again took to the pay station and talked through what we needed to do. All the guys were very polite (on the phone and face to face) and nothing seemed too much trouble. Highly recommended.

After arriving 20 minutes early tried for over 1 hour to get in contact with with someone to return my car End up calling the police. Then after about an other 20 minutes of calling eventually got a response and got my car back! After calling head office next day ended up emailing them. Received an email back saying that the phone network was down,and has a gesture of good faith they paid me back £15 I was happy with the amount just disappointing that they didn’t put someone on site with a walkie-talkie to cover the returning flights until the noble networks were back up again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Cancelling a booking is dependent on the type of product booked and the car park type as Non-flexible bookings cannot be cancelled at any time.
Flexible bookings can be cancelled any time after the booking is made, up to 24 hours before your booking arrival date.
There is a £10 cancellation fee, with the balance refunded. unless you took out the waiver fee when booking.
You can make the cancellation yourself by going to the help page and clicking on Cancel Booking
Holders of the Park Mark® award have been risk assessed by a crime prevention officer from the local police. The Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Association of Chief Police Officers and is managed by the British Parking Association.
We'll send you an email confirmation following your booking. This will confirm all the details of your booking, including a booking reference, so you can check that everything is ok.
If you didn't receive a booking confirmation email from us, please check your email provider spam/junk folder.
To re-send your booking confirmation, find your booking and select the 'Re-send booking confirmation' option.
It is important to have access to your Booking Confirmation, but you don’t have to print it. You must however ensure it is fully visible on your phone or device, so you can see all the information, directions and procedures you need to follow.
Booking Confirmations are sent upon completion of your booking, so if you don’t see it in your inbox please check your Junk/Spam folder in case it is there.Â
You can view or print or resend your confirmation voucher yourself by going to our help section and clicking on  View Booking or Resend Confirmation Email.
If you do not have the booking reference number, you can email us, or call us.
There is no charge to amend your car details.
You can make the change yourself by going to our help section and clicking on Amend Booking.
An invoice showing payment made will be sent to you by separate email from either Worldpay or from PayPal.Â
We don't use the parking confirmation as a payment receipt, as they sometimes need to be handed over to the car park. Â
You can get a VAT invoice by going to our Help page and clicking on Request VAT Invoice
Most car parks charge per day or part thereof, i.e. they count the day you enter the car park and the day you leave. That means a 7 night trip is 8 calculated as days parking and a 14 night trip will be 15 days parking.
This will depend on the car park you book, but we recommend that you arrive to drop the car off at least minutes 30 minutes prior to your earliest check-in/bag drop time.Â
The 'parking from' time on your confirmation is the time slot the car park has allocated you, so it’s important to let us know if you need to change the time, if its more than 24 hours before you are due to park. If it is less than 24 hours before your meet is due, you should call the chauffeurs using the number on your confirmation voucher.
Vehicle Details We can update vehicle details at any point. There is no charge for amending vehicle details.
Dates & Times Most bookings can be changed up to 24 hours before the booked arrival date. However, if you have booked an option marked as Non-refundable or Saver then the dates and times on these options cannot be amended and the booking cannot be cancelled. We are unable to amend details with 24 hours of your booked arrival date.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund on bookings that aren’t used due to a vehicle breaking down.
It's not a problem if your flight back to East Midlands airport is delayed. Your car will be kept safe and you can pay for any additional parking at the car park when you return to collect your vehicle.
