This was our first time using Mid Stay. On our return, the ticket did not work, I was asked for £170!. After my heart attack I pressed the help button. Within one minute, my ticket was validated and I was on my way.

Good experience except when I tried to exit the car park it showed that I owed £120 ! Having pre-paid my fee, which was very competitive, this was a bit of a surprise to me . I contacted “ the office” and all was resolved very quickly.

Yet again for about the fifth time on exiting the mid stay car park at Edinburgh Airport I’m faced with the hassle of the machine saying I’m due £280.!!! The staff who answer the help button and take my booking reference or car registration totally rude, no apology, usually a “whatever”. My last experience in November was I should have parked at the car park nearer the airport as the car park is due to close for refurbishing. I said I booked ages ago and was never advised of this, only to be told next time I should check, then he cut me off. He was so rude, probably on minimum wage and doesn’t care a jot. To add insult, whilst on holiday I noticed Edinburgh Airport tweet saying car park to be closed and I messaged to say my car was already parked and told absolutely no problem, they just weren’t allowing new bookings in. This car park is conveniently situated for my needs, but either FHR/NCP need to sort out prepaid bookings rather than take the shine off a holiday. Rant over!!

Have used this car park on a regular basis and on each occasion the exit gate has failed to recognise my cars personal number plate. I have had to contact the member of staff on duty to open the gate . No fun in the pouring rain

Parking was good however , when exiting the ticket terminal at barrier showed an outstanding balance of £150 . Parking had already been pre payed , a minute wait and the matter was cleared up over the ticket terminal intercom. I’m guessing the reg plate recognition was not working and glad there was no queue of cars behind at the barrier. Apart from that easy to find and close to airport.

Carpark was ok but it was a bit disconcerting that on arrival one receives a ticket that makes no mention of having prebooked parking not does it have the registration number of the car. It was a pleasant surprise when the barrier opened on departure with no issues

Yet again, the second time this year, pre booking through FHR, I’ve had problems exiting! Yesterday on exit it flashed up I was due £240!!! As I had encountered same problem a few months ago I was prepared with booking details to hand. You ask for feedback to continually improve the service you provide, you obviously didn’t take note of same problem when I gave you feedback the last time. On a positive note, I did manage to find a parking space easily. I am booked and paid for with FHR again twice next year, hopefully the exit problem resolved by then, it’s not good for my blood pressure.

Directions for Mid Stay Refundable
2.2m Height RestrictionsJust head to the airport following road signs as you normally would. At the roundabout beside the Doubletree by Hilton, take the 3rd exit and continue over the tram crossing. At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit – you’ll find the entrance to Mid Stay on your right.
At the entry barrier, your registration number will be recognised. A ticket will be printed showing your registration and booking details. The barrier will open. If you have any difficulties, please press the call button for assistance. After parking made a note of the zone you are in to help on your return.
When you come back from your trip, at the exit barrier your number plate will be read automatically. If there are any problems, press the intercom button to talk to our staff.
You can cancel or amend your booking up to 24 hours prior to date of arrival at the car park. No Changes can be made within 24 hours
At the discretion of the car park you will have a 2 hour grace period prior to arrival and a 2 hour grace period on return. If you pick your car up early, we can't give you a refund.
If you arrive or depart outside your booking period, you will incur an additional charge based on Edinburgh Airport's standard short stay tariff, currently £50 per day or part thereof (subject to change)

If you know in advance of your return that you do need to park for longer than your pre-booked period, you can also book the additional days ad times on the web site. You must make sure you book for the same car park. On return press the buzzer and quote both booking reference numbers.
