This is a self park car park where you keep your own keys. There are no height restrictions at the car park but your vehicle must fit within a standardised parking space. The car park operates an automatic vehicle recognition system - make sure you have provided your correct vehicle registration or you may be refused entry on arrival. There are disabled spaces available on a first come first served basis - just have a copy of your Blue Badge visible in the car.

Directions for Car Park 2

From the Glasgow city centre
Take the M77 south until it changes to the A77. The airport is north of the town of Ayr between Prestwick and Monkton (and east of the A77). The Journey takes about 40 minutes.

From the A78:
Continue forward (signposted Barassie, Loans).
At Meadowhead Roundabout take the first exit onto the A79.
At the next roundabout you come to, take the first exit left onto Tweed Road which leads directly to the airport terminal.

From Glasgow:

Join the M77 motorway southbound (signposted M77 Kilmarnock, Prestwick Airport).
Continue forward onto the A77.
At Dutch House Roundabout take the third exit.
At the next roundabout you come to, take the first exit left onto Tweed Road which leads directly to the airport terminal.

From the A78 continue forward (signposted Barassie, Loans).
At Meadowhead Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A78 (signposted Ayr, Prestwick Airport).
At Monktonhill Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A79 signposted Prestwick Airport.
Continue forward on the A79 entering the airport and follow signs for Car Park 2 - it's next to the terminal on the upper level.

On arrival
Drive up to the entry barrier, where your registration will be automatically recognised. The barrier will then lift, but if there are any issues press the intercom button for assistance. Make sure you don't take a ticket from the barrier, as you will be charged again for your parking.
Park in any space, keep hold of your keys and take the short 2-minute walk to check-in.

On return
Walk back to your car from the terminal and drive to the exit barrier, where the barrier will automatically lift.

If you have stayed later than your booked date you will need to pay for any additional time at the machine located by the exit barrier.

The car park is suitable for customers with limited mobility, as itÂ’s one of the closest car parks to the terminal.

The car park is manned twenty-four hours a day. This car park has been awarded the Park Mark for safer parking. The Park Mark means that you are parking in an area that has been vetted by the police to make sure that the site has had measures put in place to create a safe environment. Park Mark awarded parking areas are run by responsible operators who are concerned with your safety and the safety of your vehicle.
