Drive to the barrier and your number plate will be recognised. The entry barrier will lift automatically, so you can drive in and park in any space

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return walk back to the car park from the terminal. Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier which will lift automatically. If it doesnÂ’t rise press the intercom button for assistance and quote your reference number.

What security measures does the car park have?

CCTV, floodlighting, security barriers, entry and exit barriers, regular staff patrols and fencing. It's even been awarded the Park Mark from the police for safer parking. Awarded: Park Mark, Safer Parking Award

I’m quite fussy about my car and I was really pleased to be able to park my car myself and keep the keys knowing that it would be exactly as I left it after my holiday. Spaces are generous. Close walking distance to terminal, 4-5 mins. No overcrowded shuttle bus when you’re tired and want to be on your way home. I’d definitely use again.

Had problems entering the car park and needed to speak to the attendant to enter, which took sometime. I also needed to speak to the attendant again to get out after 4 days. The ticket machine demanded I pay £230!! Took further time to leave this car park :-(

Directions for Short Stay Premium - Red Zone

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

If you require Blue Badge bays, you will need to either book Orange or Green Short Stay car park.

From London:
- Exit the M11 at Junction 8a.
- Follow the road for just over a mile and take the Stansted Airport exit.
- Branch left, and at Bassingbourn roundabout, take the second exit.
- At the next roundabout, take the third exit, following signs to Short Stay Car Parks.

From Cambridge:
- Exit the M11 at Junction 8.
- Take the A120 exit to Stansted Airport.
- At the Priory Wood roundabout, take the third exit.
- Branch left, and at Bassingbourn roundabout, take the second exit.
- At the next roundabout, take the third exit, following signs to Short Stay Car Parks.

Note: once at the airport, please follow signs to Short Stay RED ZONE

From the car park it's a 3-minute walk to the terminal.

On your return walk back to the car park from the terminal. Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier which will lift automatically. If it doesn't rise press the intercom button for assistance and quote your reference number.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

The shortest time we can offer parking for is 24 hours. If you're parking for less time, it may be cheaper to pay when you arrive. We can't offer a refund if you book through us and find the price at the car park is less.


The car park offers a grace period of 6 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £60 per day, which is subject to change. If you pick your car up early, we can't give you a refund.

I've booked my car in red zone at Stansted short stay.but I was wondering if the carpark was big enough for my Ford rangerMost standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
