Description of Copthorne Hotel In Gatwick

The Copthorne London Gatwick is situated in the village of Copthorne, centred around a 16th Century farmhouse and set in 100 acres of garden and woodlands, only minutes from the airport. Dining options include the Lion D'or fine dining restaurant and guests can use the Acorn Fitness gym which is adjacent to the hotel.

All rooms are double glazed, have en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee tray, TV, Iron and ironing board, mini fridge, laptop safe and hair dryer.

Transfers run to the airport every hour between 04:15 and 23:15 - outside these hours taxis can be booked at clients own cost - the local taxi company rates start from £11.50 each way.Transfer Bus costs - £5.00 pp - this can booked on arrival at hotel, or if parking and going straight to the airport, minimum notice required is 1 hour On return, a reduced rate taxi service (£11.50) from airport.

£15.95 per person for a breakfast buffet, If not included in your rate. Club rooms included breakfast in the rate.

Leisure

Hair and Beauty Salon in hotel. The adjacent Acorn Fitness is available to guests and offers Pool, Gym, Tennis and Squash - Closed 25th,26th Dec and 1st Jan. The swimming pool is currently closed until end of April 2019 for refurbishment. The gym is open as normal.

Fantastic start to our holiday. Hotel room was amazing with a four poster bed and the staff were very helpful and professional. We dined at the hotel and the food was delicious. Will definitely book again.

Despite reading some mixed reviews we were pleased with our choice of hotel. As we had booked months in advance our room was in the main quieter area of the hotel. We didn't try the hotel bars and restaurants as we thought that they were too pricey! Parking was good but was a shame you felt compelled to use their transport-we got a taxi for 4.50 per person there and back as shuttle bus wasn't running. We would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The price for fifteen days parking was very economical and everything worked well. One problem - hot bedroom with heavyweight duvet, no top sheet and particularly uncomfortable pillows. We would use the hotel again, but take our own pillows!

excellent service with a smile. Good sized bedroom. All you can ask for in a one night stay hotel before a very early flight from Gatwick, only 10 minutes away. Suggest you use a taxi though rather than shuttle bus as they get crowded especially with everyone's luggage. Taxi only Â£9 each way. well worth it.

Hotel room was comfortable. Food in bar was good and freshly prepared. Staff very helpful. After carefully selecting parking spot away from trees husband was very unimpressed when we returned from trip to find car had been moved and was now under a tree and covered in bird mess.

Room was nicely kept with comfortable bed and quite position considering the Christmas parties going on downstairs. This being said it was a long walk from reception with set of steep stairs and no lift that I could see, which made lugging of heavy suit cases rather hard work. The Tea and Coffee room facility was a bit limited and could have benefited with alternatives of fruit teas and possibly hot chocolate. Staff are polite and very helpful and parking facility was just what we needed having used this hotel previously when flying from Gatwick. Taxi seervice was prompt collecting us when requested on returning from vacation.

Trip for 2 to Orlando in October 2014. Booked 2 nights before trip at a reasonable price (Â£61) for one night stay and 7 days parking. Hotel allows you to self park and keep the keys if you wish. If you choose to hand in the keys, they will pull round the car to the hotel front on your return. Taxi costs Â£9.50 each way (fixed price) with a local firm. Make sure you ask for the taxi number so you can call them on your return. Rate did not include breakfast but that is ok for the price paid. Room was clean and tidy, perfect for a one night stay!

WE have stayed here before and find it convenient location to go to Gatwick. The room is comfortable and the facilities at front desk very good. We have not eaten at the restaurant but had a quick snack at the bar which is adequate.

Excellent hotel! Rooms were really clean comfortable and modern. Staff were professional and courteous. Only issue I had was I was overcharged for the additional days parking I required. Charged me Â£67 instead of Â£7. This was due to a typing error on the notes they received but it wasn't a problem as the charged was reversed straight away once I was aware and the front desk clerk had check with her manager. Overall, really pleased. We will definitely do this again and happy to recommend.
