The Copthorne London Gatwick is situated in the village of Copthorne, centred around a 16th Century farmhouse and set in 100 acres of garden and woodlands, only minutes from the airport. Dining options include the Lion D'or fine dining restaurant and guests can use the Acorn Fitness gym which is adjacent to the hotel.

All rooms are double glazed, have en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee tray, TV, Iron and ironing board, mini fridge, laptop safe and hair dryer.

Hair and Beauty Salon in hotel. The adjacent Acorn Fitness is available to guests and offers Pool, Gym, Tennis and Squash - Closed 25th,26th Dec and 1st Jan. The swimming pool is currently closed until end of April 2019 for refurbishment. The gym is open as normal.

The parking plus room offer was v good value. However the room we were allocated was of a very poor standard decorativly. Given the price we paid we accepted this and did not seek a change of room or an upgrade given the limited time we were going to spend in the room. However we discovered on closer inspection when we returned to the room later that the room had not been cleaned properly with clumps of long black hair covering a significant area of the carpet where a previous resident had obviously brushed her hair out. I have stayed at this hotel previously booked through my company and the standard of room I had on these occasions was better. Given the price paid the room whilst not as illustrated would have been acceptable but the obvious failure to vacume the room was totally unacceptable. The reason I did not raise a complaint at the time was because the uncleanliness was only discovered very late and we had an early flight to catch.

Waited for an hour after scheduled pick up time bus didn't arrive to pick us up on return to UK so had to get a taxi. Complained about bus service at hotel. The man on reception just told us the bay our car was in and then turned his back and walked away.If this is your level of service in a supposedly a 4/5 star hotel then you need to review the star ratings.Receptionist very rude.

Lovely hotel which we have stayed in before. It has evrything one could want on site even if just for a short stay. Taxi to south terminal was £9.50 although we had been quoted £11.00! Excellent value for money.

Hotel was comfortable and seemed a convenient location. However, we chose to use the shuttle bus service which was reasonably quick on the way out but on the way back we waited 45 mins for the shuttle to turn up and another 50 mins on bus as the hotel was the last stop. If we used this arrangement again we would use a taxi both ways.

Previous reviews I had read of this hotel indicated that it was a little tired and in need of update . However for the price that I paid for the room and parking I found it to be very good value and the food and service at the Restaurant was extremely good.

Hotel is a little tired in its decor but the service makes up for it. Our car was well looked after and was waiting at the hotel reception when we arrived back. We were delighted to not be charged extra, even though our return was delayed.

Airport transfer was OK,however, on return journey we were given incorrect route No. and pick up. When we finally managed to board the transfer bus it took nearly an hour to get back to our hotel instead of the ten minutes to get to the airport from the hotel previously. The service had been modified and took us to 2 hotels before ours. A tour around the countryside that early in the morning was totally out of order. Had we known we would have taken a short taxi ride at about £3 more than the transfer cost. If we used the hotel again we would make sure we took a taxi both ways.

The hotel is very conveniently situated when flying in and out of Gatwick. The airport parking service worked well. We had a family room which was a good size and very comfy but, it was in need of refurbishment. Overall a very positive experience.

We left our car parked in the hotel grounds, as we have every other year we have been on holiday. They have recently introduced off site secure parking with this hotel, but we have never had any trouble with our car parked at the hotel and will continue to leave it at the hotel.

Overall very good except for taxi company used by the hotel, we booked taxi for 7.00 a.m. and it didn't arrive until 7.30 after chasing 3 times by hotel receptionist. Also had to wait half an hour between booking return trip and arrival of taxi. Hotel has changed its taxi company, last year's was much more efficient.
