What is the drop-off procedure?

We are now operating as a ticketless car park. You no longer need to push for a ticket, our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras will read your registration number to raise the barriers automatically.Press assistance button if needed.

What is the pick-up procedure?

Once you are back at the car park, drive to the exit where the barrier will raise automatically to allow exit. If the barrier does not raise it may be that you have overstayed or parked in the incorrect car park.Press assistance button if needed.

What security measures does the car park have?

This car park has CCTV cameras, high perimeter fencing and is patrolled regulary.

What else do I need to know?

Please note: This car park does not accept vans, minibuses, motor homes, caravans and trailers. Bays for Blue Badge Holders are provided, but not guaranteed. Please ask staff via intercom on arrival for details. There are disabled car parking spaces and for those with larger vehicles, no height restrictions.

Just a small problem both on entry and exit in that the computer technology did not recognise my booking. Therefore, the advice was to get in contact with the 'helper' both times, but the contact facility for help at both the entry and the exit points was not very clear at all. Better signage would help.

If you’re reasonably fit there is no need to catch the courtesy bus. It’s a 5 minute walk to the terminal. We’ll definitely use this car park again.

Great location and pick up service but always have problems at the barrier with no recognition. Always have a queue of cars behind us trying to get in.

Really good location and easy to find and park. 10 mins max walk to terminal so easy to park and fly. Ticket didn't scan on way out so a quick call and the barrier opened.

The car park offered a good mix of value and convenience on our recent trip. The entrance barrier system would not recognise our booking, however we were pleased to have a nearby car park employee who came to our rescue. The car park is large so I advise other clients to take a good note of the location of their car before leaving it!

Car park was easy to find. Very clean and well signed. System did not recognize my number plate so I had to ask for help to gain entry., no problem after a few security questions. Bus service frequent and, again, clean. Although we arrived back at about 12.30am. bus picked us up within 10 mins Excellent service.

I have used this car park many times and never had a problem. However this time the barrier didn’t open on arrival and inadvertently we pressed the ticket button since the help button was not very clear (a small white phone picture on a black background is not easy to see in the dark!) I was advised by the helper on the assistance call button to call them if the carrier didn’t open on exit . On exiting at 3am there seemed to be huge issues at the barrier and queues forming. The barrier didn’t open for us either but this was thankfully resolved quickly with the helper on assistance call button checking our booking.. A clearer assistance button would be helpful and it’s difficult to read everything on entering when other cars are behind you.

Barrier didn’t open on arrival. Had to contact controller over very poor connection. Barrier lifted when I gave reg no. Same thing on departure, a pain at 2 am.

The parking itself was very good, however when I tried to leave it told me I at to pay for my parking. I rang for assistance. when I eventually got to speak with someone, they said they would open the barrier for me and yet I was kept waiting for another few minutes and had to ring again.

Getting into the carpark took a short while as people were struggling to get their tickets, when we were leaving the carpark we inserted our ticket and it came up that we had to pay £140 for our parking which caused a bit of anxiety, after pressing the help button we had to cancel our ticket and we were able to leave the carpark, this was happening to quite a few cars hence it caused a queue.

This car park is a short 5 minute walk to terminal which is great however on arrival ANPR was down therefore unable to get access to car park and no signs or anything to state it was down. Had to sit for 10 mins waiting for someone to answer the intercom.

Directions for Car Park 5 - Flex Plus (N)

Leave the M42 at junction 6 and proceed along the A45 following the signs to the airport. On arrival at the airport follow the signs for Car Park 5.

Birmingham Airport Car Park 5 is located to the south of Terminal 2 and a courtesy shuttle bus regularly operates for your convenience. This car park is located within a 5 mins via bus or 5-10 mins walk of the terminal building.

Arrivals Procedure:

We are now operating as a ticketless car park. You no longer need to push for a ticket, our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras will read your registration number to raise the barriers automatically.

It is important that you provide us with the correct registration number at the point of booking, otherwise our cameras won't be able to recognise your booking.

Please ensure you park in Car Park 5 to avoid any additional charges.

Should you require any help, please press the assistance button and a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you. The assistance button is located on the entrance column.

Returns Procedure:

Once you are back at the car park, drive to the exit where the barrier will raise automatically to allow exit.
If the barrier does not raise, it may be that you have overstayed or parked in the incorrect car park.

Any overstay will be charged at the standard tariff. You can pay any additional charges at the exit lane with your card.

Please make sure you choose the correct lane for payment and have your registration number ready to quote.

Should you require any help, please press the assistance button with your booking reference ready to quote and a member of our customer service team will be happy to assist you.

Bus picks up bus stops 2,6 and 7 from within the car park.
Bus stops B from outside the terminal.

There is a 3 hour grace period allowed to get back to your vehicle from your booked return time. After that time you may be subject to an overstay charge by the airport.

We are using a mini bus can this be accommodated?Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2.15m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
