The car park is well signposted and the number recognition system makes entry and exit very easy. The downside is that there can be a long wait between buses, some people had been waiting over 20 minutes, not great if you are in a hurry!

Yes as always, pain free!! Maybe clearer/bolder signs at East Midlands airport, as unfortunately entered a drop off queue - no way back and had to pay £2 to immediately exit, which wasn't a good way to start a holiday for the navigator - it was 3am! Also in the Long stay car park 1 - 4 bus stops without numbers on them - other airports have large 1 2 3 or 4 identification - so a bit of walk around to determine the car location - especially not at 2am - again navigator trouble. Again - to exit the car park - not very bold or distinguishing signs to join the exit routes. Apart from that, number recognition good. I have used FHR for years - a loyalty discount would be appreciated.

Car Park was easy to find, hardly had to wait any time at all for the bus in both directions, all very efficient. Just be aware, the long term car park is huge so make sure to make a note of the row letter you parked in and also the bus stop number where you want to be dropped off. Unlike the couple on our bus who were berating the driver for not dropping them off when they told him the wrong stay number...

The car parking was very easy to find, the buses were frequent and full after a flight came in. The idea of parking without anybody to talk to ended up trouble-free as the car number plate was recognised on entry and exit, what a good idea!! Having never before used East Midlands Airport, the parking was a high light of the experience

It was cheaper than other car parks. 4 buses per hours is not but BUT you must add this 15-30mins to your travel time. Easy to find. Buses also easy to find.

Good service from car park 4 to terminal but rather chaotic on the transfer back from the terminal. The buses could not accommodate the number of passengers arriving all at the same time. Really need to put on more buses at such times.

Having made the mistake of booking at the wrong airport, I was extremely grateful to the staff at FHR for not only quickly rectifying my mistake, but also pointing out that my new booking at East Midlands was cheaper than my wrong booking at Birmingham, not only that the refund was in my account the same day. To top it all, the parking process went extremely smoothly both going and coming back. WELL DONE!

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.Important
During hot weather we recommend that removing all alcohol-based hand sanitiser products from vehicles when they are not occupied as they pose a risk of igniting and causing a fire.
Directions
Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453. Follow the road until you reach the main entrance to the airport. Turn right into the airport. At the first roundabout, take the first exit. Carry straight on at the next roundabout, and take the first exit at the third roundabout. Go straight on at the fourth roundabout and follow the road until you reach a junction. Long Stay 1 is located on your left.

On arrival at the car park:
Drive up to the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and stop
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and subsequently open the barrier to allow you entry
Please DO NOT press for a ticket to gain access to the car park, as this is not required and doing so will disable the ANPR system in relation to your booking
On exiting the car park:
Proceed straight to the exit barrier and stop
The ANPR system will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you (which will be the ref. starting EH in the comments section of your voucher) and subsequently open the barrier to allow you exit
Please DO NOT in any circumstance insert your credit card or debit card into the barrier as a further payment will be taken

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of 4 hours outbound, and 6 hours inbound at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £15 per day, which is subject to change.
