What is the drop-off procedure?

Drive up to the machine at the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and a ticket will be automatically issued. This is an On-Airport car park. You will not be required to leave your keys.

What is the pick-up procedure?

Drive up to the machine After collecting your luggage, proceed to the arrivals hall and turn left between the information desk and Spar shop for your return bus. At the exit barrier insert your ticket and the barrier should raise automatically.

Booking online was very straightforward and intuitive. The information supplied was accurate and helpful. On arrival and departure the automatic car park gates worked efficiently and the regular bus service arrived according to the scheduled advertised times. Excellent value. The road signage to Car Park 4 could have been more clear and helpful when we arrived as I did find myself in the approach to the airport drop off point and had to pay to return to the main route. The fact that you were entering a pay zone was not advertised or obvious. As far as FHR was concerned, their part of the experience was efficient and effective. I would recommend and book again.

Exactly as stated on web site, we parked car, a bus pulled up and took us on a 2 minute bus ride to the airport and the same on return.

location was good, entry and exit system and car park area was all in good order. Biggest problem was bus over loaded with people getting on and off. other companies we have used drop off 1st then go round and collect. no one could use disabled area as able bodied stood in it with suitcases it was a shabby scramble on and off the bus both way. Not good !!.

Good low budget option. Travelling on my own, this was fine. The bus at both ends was about a 5-10 minute wait, but friendly driver and not too full. Transfer time about 5 minutes plus wait time and bus stop right outside terminal and well signposted for the return

Very convenient 24hr a day 7 days a week, fully automated service, great, obviously just allow that little bit longer to park up and wait for the shuttle, especially if quite away from departures. A bit of homework first to orintate where you actual car park car 🚗 is would be prudent.

First time using this car park. When I arrived it wasn't clear to me where to catch the bus and this wasn't in my paperwork. As I couldn't afford to wait I walked to the terminal. Some big signs would be helpful. Easy on the way back.

Very good - easy to book, easy to find, bus service from car park 4 to airport was excellent. Only minor niggle was when we tried to leave the barrier didn't raise automatically and asked for a token or voucher which we weren't issued with when we arrived. We used the service button at the barrier, which was answered promptly (at midnight) and the chap let us out with no issues. Would use again.

Very quick and easy to book, print paperwork off and the number plate recognition makes it a doddle on arrival (this was something that was not working correctly last year when I used this but has obviously been rectified). Car park has plenty of lighting and security cameras keep an eye on everything. Was comfortable leaving my car here, would recommend and use again

No issues with accessing and leaving the car park. Whilst we were comfortably picked up within 20 mins of arriving we found that on the way back to the car park the bus was too full and it was almost impossible for people to leave their seats to collect their luggage. The driver kept asking passengers to cram into the rear of the bus as there was a huge queue waiting at the stop when we arrived.. However nobody wanted to do this as we could forsee the problems this would cause when leaving. The answer was to arrange for more buses to be available at the busiest times.

Directions for Long Stay 1

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

Important

During hot weather we recommend that removing all alcohol-based hand sanitiser products from vehicles when they are not occupied as they pose a risk of igniting and causing a fire.

Directions
Exit the M1 or A42 onto the A453. Follow the road until you reach the main entrance to the airport. Turn right into the airport. At the first roundabout, take the first exit. Carry straight on at the next roundabout, and take the first exit at the third roundabout. Go straight on at the fourth roundabout and follow the road until you reach a junction. Long Stay 1 is located on your left.

On arrival at the car park:
Drive up to the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and stop
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and subsequently open the barrier to allow you entry
Please DO NOT press for a ticket to gain access to the car park, as this is not required and doing so will disable the ANPR system in relation to your booking
On exiting the car park:
Proceed straight to the exit barrier and stop
The ANPR system will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you (which will be the ref. starting EH in the comments section of your voucher) and subsequently open the barrier to allow you exit
Please DO NOT in any circumstance insert your credit card or debit card into the barrier as a further payment will be taken
