What is the drop-off procedure?

On arrival enter car park and park in lanes as indicated. Details for checking in and airport transfers will be displayed. Please allow 50 minutes for check-in and the transfer to the airport. At busy times, please allow yourself an additional 30 min

What is the pick-up procedure?

The shuttle buses back to the car park leave from bays M and N right outside the terminal. Driver will advise you of car collection procedure when you get back to the car park. Overstays will be charged £20 per extra day or part thereof.

What security measures does the car park have?

Excellent service! Arrived at car park, parked car in marked lane and went inside for automated check in with plenty of help on hand if it was needed. Bus waiting for trip to airport. On return journey we did have a slight problem finding the bus back to the car park but that was partly my fault as I was reading the email sent which stated stand 17 for pick up but there wasn't one, they were all letters. When I checked the ticket given from the car park that had a letter on it. Bus filled just as we got there but we only waited about 10 minutes for the next. On arrival back at the carpark you scan the ticket given and the screen shows where your car is parked and then returns your key. All completed in a matter of seconds. Can't fault it. Would also like to mention that we did not have a problem finding the car park as some obviously did judging by previous reviews. We frequently get lost but this was so easy we drove straight to it no problem. Would recommend and definitely book again!

Very impersonal and had to wait a long time for the bus to the airport - not good when coming from somewhere warm to a freezing cold UK. Picking up the car on return it is all done by computer - it be ok if it was really cheap but it is expensive.

Vehicle Drop off and getting to the airport was effortless. Return was not so good, the paperwork said to wait at bus stop 18 which there wasn’t one as they were all alphabetical! Eventually found row R to find a huge queue so missed the next bus by it being full resulting in a further 20 minute wait!

Punctual collection from LTN, mercifully, as the coach pick-up point is colder and draughtier than the North Pole, by a helpful driver. Dropping off and collecting one's vehicle is slightly involved with bar codes etc until one has done it a couple of times. But the system seems to work well and if one get's into a muddle there is always a helpful person at hand fron the company. Have used most of the other parking options at LTN and Airparks is now my preferred choice.

Easy drop off process, although it's now virtually all automated. Simple enough though. Bus transfer was quite prompt also. However on our return to Luton airport things were a little unorganised. We were told to go to row M, however there wasn't a row M any longer as the signs for that and 3 other bays had been moved away. We had to call the company who had no knowledge of this and so we just had to keep wandering around until the Airparks bus turned up and then all herded over to where that went.

The transportation was ok but the driver was very unhelpful when loading and unloading the luggage as opposed to other parking companies. I will book again with this company if no other options are available.

The instructions where to pick up the bus on your return were incorrect. When I finally found the right bus stop the bus driver drove away. The bus then far too full so really uncomfortable bus ride back to car park.

Directions for Airparks

Coming from the North (M1)
Leave the M1 at junction 10
At the motorway roundabout, take the first exit from the north onto Airport Way A1081.
Keep in the left hand lane and take the slip road signposted towards St. Albans, Harpenden A1081.
You'll come out onto a roundabout where you should take the first exit onto London Road.
At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted St Albans, Harpenden A1081.
Turn left onto the B4540, signposted Slip End and Markyate.
At the traffic lights, turn right onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.

Coming from the South (M1)
Leave the M1 at junction 9.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A5183
Continue on A5183 for approximately 2 miles and at the traffic lights turn right onto B4540 (Luton Road towards Luton)
Continue on B4540 for approximately 1.5 miles into Slip End village and at the traffic lights turn left onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.

Some travellers have had trouble finding Airparks with their sat navs, so we suggest you take our directions into account. If you choose to use a sat nav to get to the car park, make sure you use the full address to avoid getting lost.

On arrival:
Pull up at the entrance barrier, which will lift after a few seconds (all cars coming into the site are recorded on CCTV). Park in one of the arrivals bays, then head into the check-in building. You check yourself in using the machines - it's a very quick process, though you'll need to have a copy of your booking confirmation with you. There's a member of staff on hand to help if you need it

The machine will give you a tag, which you should attach to your keys, and a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. Drop your keys in the box with the same number as the lane you've parked in. Your car will be parked for you, so just head to the waiting area and hop on the bus to the airport. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver.

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

Returning home

Catch the shuttle bus from bus bay 17 – you’ll need to show the driver your ticket. Once you’re back at the car park, head to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser – it will return your keys and tell you where your car is parked.

Then just drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode attached to your keys, and then the barrier will lift. If you lose your ticket, you'll need to go to reception, answer some security questions, then show a photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

Essential Information

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

If you come back to a flat battery, the car park will be happy to jump start your car for free.
We normally advise our customers to give themselves 40 minutes to park at Airparks and transfer to the airport - longer during the rush hour between 4am and 8am. However, there are currently roadworks on the M1 between junctions 6a and 12, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey to Airparks too. More information is available on the Highways Agency website.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly on + the number on your confirmation 6 to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

Hi there, I'm worried about my return flight being delayed, as I don't wish to pay extra charges.I read that there is a grace period up until midnight. However, my flight isn't scheduled to land until 10pm. I noticed that if i book up until about 09:30 the following morning, the price is the same. Is it safer to do this, to avoid extra charges? And then just inform staff when I've landed?You can do that if you like, as that would cover you. However, the vehicles are bought out of the main storage compound ready for customers to collect, so I would,t add too much extra time or your car may not be bought out of the compound if you are several hours earlier
Hi there, we have an 8 seater Nissan MPV. Does this class as a 'car'? The car park state the following: Maximum vehicle dimensions are 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. I do not know my return date. If I book via an online site and come back several days early is that ok?You can return earlier thrn the time you have booked but you would not get a refund for any unused days
