When we booked it was so easy. Our problem began when we tried to exit the car park. The machines would not accept our ticket when we pressed the help button the person on the other end made it feel as though it was our fault. When we gave him our car reg he couldn’t find it and my name was no good finally after having to open my emails I found my reference number and hey presto he found my booking. This was the first time we have had a problem so it will not put us off booking again but a bit of retraining in customer service won’t go amiss

Excellent service as usual. Always use FHR fir airport parking bookings. Instructions provided clear, signage at Newcastle airport could be a bit better, but not FHR’s problem. The short stay 1 carpark was ideal as directly outside of the main front terminal building. A short 2 min walk. Positioning of car parking area slightly different to map on website but would definitely use again.

Stayed in the short stay very close to the terminal. The directions weren’t good. Took me to the drop-off point, though if I had concentrated more I would’ve seen I should’ve turned off immediately before it. On return, I had to put the parking ticket into the barrier. This surprised me as I understood from the paperwork provided prior to the trip that automatic numberplate would activate when I got close to the barrier. Otherwise five star service.

It would have been a 5 star review however as we are all aware the Covid19 pandemic makes it difficult to give the normal service . I usually use meet and greet but had to leave my car some distance from the Airport Entrance due to the amount of cars in the Short Term carpark .

Just as advertised convenient and on the terminal doorstep . Illuminated signs showing route through parking bays , instead of on road markings would be of greater assistance to drivers arriving during periods of darkness

Very easy to park and just to leave the ticket in the car and know when you get back to the airport after your holiday all you need to do is to use the ticket to exit without worry is brilliant.

I parked at Newcastle airport, it would have been handy if the signs just off the roundabout actually said FHR short stay car park, I ended up going to the drop off point. But apart from that extremely satisfied.

Took the option of parking on the Short Stay car park. It was so easy, it could not have been simpler. Parked the car and walked into the airport. Picked up the car and drove straight out. The system recognised my number plate and the barrier opened as we approached. Its a little more expensive but in my humble opinion, well worth the cost.

Directions for Short Stay 1
The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696. Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north), then take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the short-term car park - it's directly opposite the terminal. If you're using a sat nav, the postcode is NE13 8BZ.Arrival Procedure
Take a ticket from the entrance barrier and enter the Short Stay car park. Proceed to an available parking space and take the short walk to the terminal building.
Departure Procedure
Collect your car and proceed directly to the short stay exit barrier and insert your ticket. Your booking reference and vehicle registration will be automatically verified to facilitate your exit from the car park. Should you experience difficulties, please press the Help button to speak to our operator quoting your 5 digit/letter car park booking reference.
The car park does not accept lorries or trailers.
There are designated Blue Badge bays, which work on a first come, first served basis. You'll need to display your badge while you're away.
The car park has two electric charge points, which are free for customers to use - they work on a first come, first served basis.
