Straight forward, easy and efficient parking , very clean and spacious room. Resturant a little on the slow side although the food was nicely done. They ordered a taxi for 4 am and a call for 3 30 am, this was all on time , but what impressed me most that the guy on reception phoned my room at 3 45 to make sure we were up and ok . After thanking him he said he like to do this if he was not too busy . This left quite an impression

The taxi service was good, but we had friends with us and it wasn't until we arrived at the Effingham hotel that we realised that they were in another place. The taxi driver charges an additional £5.00 to pick them up and it was on the way to the North terminal, I thought that was excessive. Apart from that the hotel was good and the parking was safe and secure Enjoy

Excellent value for money.Great food and service. Room very comfortable. Taxi fare at £11.50 very good.Booked on return and arrived within approx 5 minutes. Fare at taxi rank Gatwick is £16 to hotel.

The only reason for this relatively low rating is that it was necessary yo leave car keys for my vehicle to be moved. Had I known this was the case I wouldn't have booked. I much prefer to park my car myself, secure it and take the keys with me.

I have used 4 star super service a few times and had no problem in the past. This trip we stayed at the Copthorne Hotel Effingham a hotel we have used before with no problems. Booking in was fine and the stay plus transfer also fine however collecting the car on return was a nightmare. I found several angry people in reception who were having problems with the hotel being unable to find their car keys, one guy had waited an hour only to find his car was boxed in by other cars. My turn a 10 min wait to be told i wasnt due back on that date !!!! im not an idiot and know what return date i put on their return paperwork !!!! result 40 mins later the keys were found and we left reception with one angry male still waiting for his car to be found. This is not what you want after a long overnight flight back to the UK. i would hope this was just a bad day for the hotel, i may use the place again but it would only have one more chance to get it right. Ive used FHR to book hotels and parking before with no problems and will continue to do so.

The transfer bus only goes to the airport at quarter past the hour. If that doesn't work you get a 11.50 pounds cab. You get an 11.50 pounds cab back to the hotel. The wall are very thin in this hotel. The wifi is at extra charge. Clean room, good shower. BookFHR.com gave us a very good price.

Yet again a great deal at the 4 Star Super Saver Rate 2 Hotel. We have stayed many times and find the rooms adequate, the beds comfortable, Very good value.

An average hotel quite dark and a bit run down. Lacked any atmosphere but it was January so won't be that busy. Was only one night and car parking so was good value.

Stayed at the copthorne effingham using fhr as we always do before traveling from gatwick. Quick, easy and simple. Park the car and forget about it for two weeks. Nice having an extra night holiday staying before you fly.

For what I paid and the location to the airport I can't complain ,the room was comfortable and roomy, the sports bar had an excellent size screen and the prices competitive for a hotel. The car is not taken off site but can be moved subject to where you leave it. I would have given it a better rating but for two things 1) I could hear the room next door when they were putting on light switches waking me up a few times and 2) we decided to eat in the sports bar on our return before our 3hr journey back sadly we 40 minutes for a bowl of soup and a sandwich, and then when I collected my car I found a smudge mark on the rear quarter panel, luckily it was someone else's paint on my car so i didn't bother reporting it as I new it would rub out with t cut and I didn't want to waste more time adding to my journey. The question you are asking iis would I stay here again ? Yes I would.

Clean and comfortable. Huge room and bathroom, lots of space. Although a little dated. I booked this hotel because it was one that kept the car on site whilst we were away. Although some cars were parked CRAMMED into rows. Saying that my car had no damage so o can't complain. Car was ready to drive away when we returned.

After reading other peoples opinions on this hotel i was not looking forward to our overnight stay. I was surprised to find our room spotless and spacious, the downside was that the carpets badly needed replacing and everything needs updating. I would book here again as it is ideal for Gatwick Airport and you get your parking.

Arrived at the hotel and had nowhere to park. We had to wait for approx 20 mins for somebody to leave. Check in was fine and polite staff. The food and drink prices were 5 star hotel prices this hotel I would rate at a 1- 2 star . Every where in the hotel is very worn out carpets threadbear, walls dirty and paint peeling furniture wobbly chairs and worn tables . I do not recomend this hotel it needs a complete refit . So overall i will definetly not return . POOR.
