Best price Drove up and the camera recognition let me in. Got back with a minor delay, drove out and the camera recognition let me out. No ticket needed, no buttons to press, no fuss. Only a 4 minute walk from departures, slightly longer from arrivals. Mostly level pathways for rolling cases on. Glad it wasn't raining though.

Poor lighting at machine, unable to see assistance button had to obtain a ticket and on return visit the airport parking office to obtain a ticket to exit car park, automatic number plate recognition not working at start of parking. No problem with receiving the exit ticket but a little inconvenient having to go to the office after a flight

Our car registration was not recognised on arrival at the car park in the very early hours of Monday 14 September. We waited for well over a minute but the barrier still didn't lift. There was a message on the 'ticket machine' saying that the intercom was out of order so I had no way of contacting anyone about the problem! Not a good start!! Let down by two pieces of electronic equipment designed to make things easier for us!! Anyway, I pressed the button and obtained a ticket and the barrier raised giving me access to the car park. When we came back from our holiday I enquired at the office outside of the terminal building about what I should do. A gentleman there told me to drive up to the barrier, press the intercom button and give my car registration to the person on the intercom, which I did. The young lady was very efficient, she knew who I was and kindly raised the barrier for us.

Although the booking was easy the instructions were not. When we arrived at the car park the barrier did not open so, as instructed, we pressed for assistance and rather than being able to talk to anyone a ticket was produced. This made us very nervous as the instructions specifically said not to take a ticket. I felt slightly anxious while we were away that we were going to be presented with a large fine when we returned so spoke to head of transport at EMA for reassurance that all would be ok - not a great way to start a holiday! On exit the barrier went up and all was ok.

Easy to book, all very straightforward. Only problem when arriving was that the system didn't recognise the car reg. However, after pressing the button for help, after 3 or 4 minutes somebody came on the intercom & all was sorted very quickly. The barrier was opened remotely & we parked up easily. (instructions on how to proceed on email) Very convenient for the airport, within easy walking distance & have booked again for September. Price is brilliant for the convenience of on site parking.

Good, only problem being (and we have experienced this before) on entry to the car park our booking (or car reg plate) did not seem to be recognised. We had to wait what seemed like an eternity, for assistance over the barrier intercom. In the end this was answered and a ticket was generated remotely by the person answering.

It was easy to book and pay for a Long Stay parking place at East Midlands Airport. However ::-- [1] - the different areas of the car park (I used long stay 2 this time) should be better designated &, so, make it easier to find one's car. [2]- the way out should be better signed -- [3} - The instructions which I received as to leaving the park did not mention that the ticket I received on entering it needed to be used again -- the number plate recognition was not enough. [4] - The number plate system diid not recognise my car's number plate, and I had to speak to the man who could authorise the raising of the barrier.

Easy website and great parking close enough to walk in. The character recognition of the number plater worked a treat, just make sure you wait for a little while, in our case about 20 seconds. Will most definately use again!

When I came back from Spain at 11.45pm on Wednesday, I had to wait a long time in the wind & rain before the barrier was lifted for me to leave. He did not recognise your ref no, but in the end the barrier was lifted using my name which I had to repeat 3 times.

Nice and close to the airport no need for bus transfer just walk across the road . Very convenient , only downfall sometimes reg not read by camera on entry and can cause a delay in leaving car park but nothing major overall a good experience .

Did not auto-scan number plate on arrival, then there were no free spaces so had to squeeze on the end of a row. On our return the call-centre did not recognise the booking reference but eventually found it by name!

It took ages to get out of the car park even though we had per booked. I had to wait for someone to answer the buzzer as it was asking for a payment when I put my ticket in. As we or book and pay, the ticket should allow us straight out! This is not good when you are holding other cars up who want to exit!

Our details were not on the system when we arrived so we had to take a ticket and then ring the buzzer for assistance when we returned so that we could get out. It was quick but disappointing that there should be a hiccup.

Not as close to the airport buildings as expected. At least 5 minutes walk, if you've got childeren choose a cheaper option with a bus transfer rather than carrying your bags along the road side up and down pavements

Directions for Mid Stay 2

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

During hot weather we recommend that removing all alcohol-based hand sanitiser products from vehicles when they are not occupied as they pose a risk of igniting and causing a fire.

On entrance to the airport from the A453, turn left at the roundabout and follow signs to OTHER CAR PARKS. At the following roundabout take the first exit and follow signs for MID STAY CAR PARKS, follow signs to Mid stay car park 2.

On arrival at the car park:
Drive up to the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and stop
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and subsequently open the barrier to allow you entry
Please DO NOT press for a ticket to gain access to the car park, as this is not required and doing so will disable the ANPR system in relation to your booking
On exiting the car park:
Proceed straight to the exit barrier and stop
The ANPR system will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you (which will be the ref. starting EH in the comments section of your voucher) and subsequently open the barrier to allow you exit
Please DO NOT in any circumstance insert your credit card or debit card into the barrier as a further payment
