Return pick up was total chaos - system uses coloured tickets for 2 car parks and the queue was huge. Appeared to be only one mini bus for either blue ticket car park or orange ticket car park which worked on an alternating system. Unfortunately if bus is full for your colour ticket then next run will be for the alternate colour meaning you appear to have to wait till the next again run. Fortunately this didn't happen to us but we witnessed it with other passengers who got a hostile response from the driver. We understand from their point of view it's frustrating to turn people away but surely this suggests another bus/ or stop for each colour is needed? We had used Flying Scot before with very smooth transfers but after this we are not sure we would risk booking with them again .

We were met by a very confusing attendent who eventually told us we were to follow a bus which led us to a much further away parking area which was called low cost parking had we wanted to go there we would have booked it. On return we were left to stand in the cold and rain while the bus took others to the nearer parking, before returning for us. There was then a car parked behind us which had to be moved before we could leave. The car was also covered in mud as it had been parked next to a very large and muddy puddle.

Flying Scot were less than efficient on this occasion, we phoned from terminal building and proceeded to stance 7 as requested, was we were approaching stance 7 there was a bus leaving stance 7. After about 15 minutes we were still waiting on a bus to return and by this time there were about 30 other clients waiting. we phoned Flying Scot and got no satisfaction, It was about another 10 minutes before a bus arrived and we were taken to our car, This probably left nearly 20 clients still at stance 7, Altogether very unsatisfactory since our previous experience when we were actually home only one hour after getting of our plane,

Car was damaged. Two areas of scratching due to where it was parked so close to other cars and on temporary parking lane not usual way. Very disappointed as I have been using this car park booked through FHR for years and every week of the year

On return the driver at pickup points took us to the wrong car park so it was 45 mins before I was able to get my car I could have walked to my car in about 7mins.The way the cars had been parked or abandoned it was extremely difficult to get my car out without hitting any other cars as they were all parked two deep bumper to bumper and on uneven ground.I have booked this car park again for another trip but will be looking for another and will cancel if I can.

Very straight forward to book online, quick check in, handed keys over, given ticket and done! Quick transfer to airport. Only slight problem was transfer back, there was quite a big queue and seemed to be only one small bus for several car parks, it was 2 o clock in the morning, cold and quite a few young children standing around for a good while! Otherwise I felt it was a good service.

Directions for Flying Scot Edinburgh

No vans - only cars & 4x4 vehicles accepted - if turn up with a van you will be turned away

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed. Take the A8 towards Edinburgh Airport;
At the roundabout, follow signs for the terminal building (East Field Road;
At the second roundabout you will see the Hilton Hotel on the right hand side;
Take the first left into Fair View;
The car park is 400 yards along Fair View on the right hand side.

DO NOT ENTER 'SCOT PARK' THIS IS THE NCP CAR PARK AND IS NOT THE CAR PARK YOU ARE BOOKED INTO - YOU MUST GO TO FLYING SCOT PARKING

IMPORTANT:
- Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before check-in
- You will be required to leave your keys with the attendant.
- This car park will not accept any vans - if you book and turn up with a van you will be turned away

On return
On your return please use the courtesy phones ( Flying Scot/LowcostParking) located just outside the domestic and international arrivals hall or at the front doors or you can use your mobile on – 0131-335-3868 and make your way to stand 7 for collection. The buses will collect you there and take you back to your car .

Full on-site valet services available. Flying Scot are 'Carbon me org' and 'Proud to be Green '

All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.

Hi we have a Ford Ranger are these allowedFlying Scot will not accept a Ford Ranger, however Low Cost which is under the sam emanagement will - vehicles may be subject to an extra charge - assessed on arrival 
Do I park my own car? Am I required to leave my keys for the duration of the stay? The car is parked by the car park. You are required to leave your keys with the car park.
Would like to book but maybe changing my car in Spring with a different registration number. Is that a problem?ThanksWe do not charge to change the vehicle details. Once you have the new details please email or call us and we will update your booking.
