What is the drop-off procedure?

Park in one of the bays outside the reception, then head inside to the check in desk . Show your confirmation and the staff will allocate you a parking space and you will be given a receipt. You can then take your keys or if you prefer you can leave your keys if you prefer. The courtesy bus service will then take you to Bus Stand 7 at the terminal to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.

What security measures does the car park have?

Great service thank you. The driver was great at keeping us informed of likely delays to and from the airport due to the impact on the traffic of the Royal Highland Show but did a fabulous job of finding a less busy route. Would highly recommend.

I have used Low Cost several times with a fast efficient service provided. However on this occassion there was a noticeable lack of additional back up transport to cope with any substantial volume of passengers that may build up due to delayed flights arriving at the same time as scheduled ones.

Not sure we will use again. delay in getting to airport which could have meant missing the plane. waited ages to pick up keys and had to find car. was a lot cheaper than alternatives but wont use for an early flight.

Arrived early morning to find staff a bit harassed as if they weren't expecting travellers and had to wait to get transferred. On return trip again it was if Low Cost weren't expecting transfers and again had to wait and someone had to stand on the bus ... not good and probably not legal. This time Low Cost gave a very poor performance.

All good on arrival staff all nice and friendly ,when we returned i forgot to phone from the arrivals but phoned when we got to bus stance as there was no bus there as we have only hand luggage there was no waiting around until we went for the bus when the bus did arrive the driver was very nice but we had to hang around waiting for another couple all in all we waited around 45mins before we left not good when you have a long journey ahead of you

Parked my car here for five days. Staff were friendly although on way back I had to lift my own suitcases on and off the bus, usually the driver does this. Had fairly long time to wait for bus on return, also wrong phone number written on card. Had to search for car on return and then another car had to be moved to let me out. Not sure if I would use this car park again.

Rather grumpy guy to welcome us at 5.00am. He became the source of amusement for the other passengers waiting for the transfer bus. I dropped my car off at 5.00am in an immaculate condition and when collected later that day it appeared to have been hosed down with dirty water and the windscreen was very greasy.

You can leave your keys and your car will be parked for you, or you can park yourself if you'd prefer

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return

All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.
