What is the drop-off procedure?

Park in one of the bays outside the reception, then head inside to the check in desk . Show your confirmation and the staff will allocate you a parking space and you will be given a receipt. You can then take your keys or if you prefer you can leave your keys if you prefer. The courtesy bus service will then take you to Bus Stand 7 at the terminal to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.

What security measures does the car park have?

Great service! This is the first time we have used Low Cost Parking and found that the service was excellent. The car park was really easy to find, checking in was straight forward and the collection and return to our car was quick and stress free. We will certainly use Low Cost Parking ages in for our next trip from Edinburgh.

Was OK to get from a to b but to be honest both going and coming back were very busy with not enough seats,buses etc. There seemed to be too many travellers for buses which also went to flying scot too. Would probably look at other options in future

FHR is first class for booking your car into one of the many carparks offering services for Edinburgh Airport. You have the choice and selection depending on your needs from the cheapest to the most expensive. Easy to use site with sat nav and map to selection. use continually for my needs!

Low cost but at a price. Around 50people queuing on our return at 'mn. If time doesn't matter' no problem. But if it had been a wet night, total misery. Staff are good.

We have used Low Cost Parking in Edinburgh a number of times now and always receive great service from them. They are reliable, prompt and offer competitive prices :)

The problem with the new Low Cost park is that it takes a lot longer than the advertised10 minutes to get to the airport. It might be 10 minutes driving time, but by the time the bus has arived you must leave at least 30 mins - especially if a bus has to go to the Flying Scot park and the Hilton. The previous location of Flying Scot was OK but the new location does not work well. When I arrived back in Edinburgh, it took me 45 minutes to get back to the car park from the time I telephoned from the stance.

Everything as stated, except I wanted a complete valet of my car for my return. The sign was displayed at the checkin, but I was told this was not available. Why advertise a service when it could not be provided! This is the first time I have not had my car valeted while I was away.

Very happy with the service offered. Had no waiting time for shuttle bus both to and from the airport. Only down side was the carpark location, we took a while to find it however this was more than likey down to us not researching before travelling.

Arrival Procedure

You can leave your keys and your car will be parked for you, or you can park yourself if you'd prefer

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.


All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.
