What is the drop-off procedure?

Park in one of the bays outside the reception, then head inside to the check in desk . Show your confirmation and the staff will allocate you a parking space and you will be given a receipt. You can then take your keys or if you prefer you can leave your keys if you prefer. The courtesy bus service will then take you to Bus Stand 7 at the terminal to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.

What security measures does the car park have?

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the car was easy to find. However, the collection time at the airport involved over 1/2 hour wait which at the end of a flight was very irritating.

Have used this car park on several occasions and have been pleased in the past. Not on this occasion however. In both directions, there was significant delay / wait for the bus transfer. It would appear that there have been cut-backs, and a reduced service. Unfortunate...

Service was excellent apart from the shuttle bus on our return journey stood waiting for 40 minutes in the cold with young children while other buses came back & forth several times, no apology or explanation when the bus eventually arrived.

Excellent Car Park for Airport. They park your car, short courtesy bus to Airport. When we arrived back home quick phone call to tell them we had landed. Bus was waiting for us at designated bay.

As we were travelling from the Livingston area we picked Low Cost Parking for convenience. Good choice. Transfer to Stance 7 was 8 minutes. Didn't have long to wait on our return either. Car was ready for us on return, no searching around the car park. Perhaps more sign posts to indicate where the car park is. We did a 'dry run' in the daylight just to make sure we knew where we were going, glad we did. Overall, I would use Low Cost Parking again.

Directions for Low Cost Parking

Arrival Procedure

You can leave your keys and your car will be parked for you, or you can park yourself if you'd prefer

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.


All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.
