What is the drop-off procedure?

Upon arrival, drivers can park in one of the arrival bays and proceed to reception to check-in. The car will be parked by the staff while guests take a bus to the airport. Bookings are non-refundable and cannot be amended or cancelled.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return, catch the transfer bus from where you were dropped off back to the car park.

Please note that your chosen car park has a vehicle height restriction of 2.1m (7ft) and does not accept the following vehicles: mini-buses; high-sided vehicles; mobile homes; lorries; caravans or vehicles with trailers We recommend that you give yourself 45 minutes to drop your car and keys off and transfer to the airport. You will be required to leave your keys at the car park. No vans accepted at this car park.

For an economic parking service the fact that the parking area was a fair way from the terminal was to be expected. The regular bus service to and from the Terminals was frequent, although crowded, and I think it would be beneficial for a sign to be displayed requesting passengers to place lighter items of luggage on the upper racks - I struggled a bit trying to place my 23kg case on the upper rack - thankfully a fellow passenger helped me out. Also, on return in the darkness of the evening, I had difficulty locating my car which I was told was in lane H - individually marked bays would have been so much more helpful (eg to be told car was in "lane H bay 23" would have been much easier - especially as the parking area was not particularly well lit).

We got a very good price from Purple Parking. We had not used them before. The transfers to and from the Airport terminal were very good. Our car was fine and waiting for us upon our return. Would use this Car Park again!

Overall very pleased. Busy but quick service. Prompt transfer to airport, although went to both terminals which did potentially delay us a little, however arrived within the time we wanted. Only issue being the vehicle was significantly dirtier on collection than when left. Did make me wonder where it was driven to for parking up between drop off and collection. Although there did not appear any noticeable mileage or reduction in the fuel so likely was that the parking is outdoors and therefore naturally the car is open to the elements. Transfer back from airport was also quick as was the collection of our car. Overall very good experience.

Location was very easy to find from the directions given. On arrival (4.30am) we were met by a couple of chaps who advised us where to park and guided us into the reception area. Polite lady at the desk took our details and for our return flight, off onto the shuttle bus for a short drive to the North terminal. Parking to airport within 30 minutes. The return was just as easy and effortless, overall the price and service was excellent and we will be using this parking service again.

Please be aware it is important to check traffic updates before you leave. There are long-term scheduled roadworks on the M23 near Gatwick Airport. These include overnight closures to the M23 and M23 Junction 10, that may affect your journey to the car park.

From the M23 - Junction 9:
Exit the motorway and follow the signs for Gatwick Airport.
At the motorway roundabout with traffic lights take the 2nd exit and head towards the airport.
At the next roundabout go straight over towards the North Terminal.
At the next roundabout take the 4th exit heading towards Crawley/Redhill (A23).
Join the dual carriageway and carry on until the next roundabout (Longbridge Roundabout) and take the 4th exit heading back on the A23 towards Gatwick, Brighton & Crawley.
Carry on over the next roundabout staying on the A23 Southbound.
At the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the Old Brighton Road South (Lowfield Heath/Charlwood).
Turn left at the mini-roundabout onto Charlwood Road.
Purple Parking is located 1½ miles ahead on the right hand side.


From the M23 - Junction 10:
Exit the motorway and take the 3rd exit signposted Crawley (A2011).
At the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit signposted A2011 for Horsham.
At the next roundabout with traffic lights take the 4th exit towards Redhill/Gatwick (A23 Northbound)
Carry on over the next roundabout following the signs for Gatwick.
At the next roundabout take the 1st exit for Lowfield Heath/Charlwood.
Turn left at the mini-roundabout onto Charlwood Road.
Purple Parking is located 1½ miles ahead on the right hand side.

If you need assistance with last minute directions please ring the number on your confirmation 7.

Park in one of the arrivals bays, take note of the number and head to reception to check in. You'll need to present a copy of your booking confirmation, drop your keys in the red box for the correct number lane and you'll be given a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. It will also have instructions on the back for when you return.
Your car will be parked for you while you catch the bus from the waiting area to the airport. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver.
We recommend that you give yourself 45 minutes to drop your car and keys off and transfer to the airport.

Transfers operate 24 hours a day, every 20 minutes and take just 10-15 minutes.

I've used many times the parking but I'm a bit confused with the park and ride one. Can I park the car myself and keep the keys myself? You will be required to leave your keys with reception as they will park your car whilst you transfer to the airport.
