What else do I need to know?

Maximum vehicle dimensions are 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the above maximum dimensions. There are larger spaces for longer vehicles, but you?ll need to book the Larger vehicle package for those. Vehicles with a taxi license plate can be parked on-site, but cannot use the Return Greet or Meet and Greet services offered by ShortRun.

The reasons I have only given 2 stars firstly the car parking company was no longer central car storage which we were not informed of and we were riding around for about 25 minutes looking for the car park which is now Airparks. The person at check in was not very pleasant he told us to wait for the transfer mini bus and load the luggage into the back luggage compartment ourselves would've have minded but they had to be lifted up quite high the other passengers were not very happy either as no one offered any assistance. We booked with this car park as it was only about 5 minutes from the airport. FRH need to sort these problems out with Airparks. I have used FRH many times and have been very pleased but feel let down with their service on this occasion.

The service was adequate. Nothing like when it was Central Car Storage. The staff are still friendly and efficient enough, but price and the waiting time seems to have gone up! We arrived back and rang as instructed and were told there may be a vehicle in the pick up area or another would be there in 10 minutes. 19 minutes after making the call the minibus arrived to take us back to our car. If we had known that we could have waited in the terminal instead of standing outside in the freezing cold!

Firstly the company has changed, or new owners but either way we weren't informed which caused confusion. It seemed there wasn't as many staff as previously & therefore the wait for a transfer was much longer on dropping the car off than previously experienced. The driver also blocked the entrance with the bus which made it difficult to get into the car park for otherd. On return we hit lucky & the bus was waiting. Overall not as good as previous experience at this site.

Always a friendly service and good value, really close to the airport. I have been using Central Car Storage for years and have previously always been very happy with the service provided. Since being taken over by Airparks, the staffing levels have dropped significantly (there used to be 4 or 5 people on shift but now there is only ever 2 or 3), which has impacted the level of service. The team at Central Car Storage do their absolute best to maintain good customer service levels, are always friendly and very helpful, but they are far too thinly stretched. I also think that Airparks should consider having 2 phone lines - one for new business and one for collections. On my recent trip it took nearly 10 minutes to get through on the phone and then I had a 20 minute wait to be collected, as there were simply not enough staff available. This has never previously been my experience - I feel like Airparks are too focussed on cutting costs and care less about customer service. I would recommend and use Central Car Storage again as transfers to the airport are quick and upon request, the team are very friendly, my car is secure and always ready upon my return. However, I am disappointed versus the service I used to receive which is why I have dropped my rating from 5 to 3 stars

First time ive parked here , and was very happy close to airport .easy check in mini bus driver loads and unloads your cases .phoned up on arrival to uk and bus was ready and waiting for us .also cheapest parking I could find .will use again next flightat london luton .

Directions for Central Car Storage

Leave the M1 at junction 10, taking the second exit onto New Airport Way, following signs for the airport.
After 2.5 miles, take a left onto the B653 towards Dunstable.
Take the first exit at the roundabout onto Gipsy Lane, between the retail park and Venue 360.
At the mini-roundabout, take the second exit.
Take the second exit at the next mini-roundabout onto Kimpton Road, signposted for the Chamber of Commerce.
Take a right opposite Hayward Tyler onto the service road.
ShortRun (Central Car Storage) will be on your left.

On arrival:
When you get to the car park, park in front of the check-in building. It's on the right, inside the main gates. Offload your bags and head to the check-in building. There, you'll be met by one of the car park's friendly staff who'll take your keys and check you in. Make sure you have your booking confirmation with you. You'll be given a ticket that'll you'll need to keep with you for your return, and the staff will park your car for you. Then, just hop on the transfer bus to the airport and you'll be there in 5 minutes.

On return:
Once you have collected your luggage, call the car park on the number on your confirmation 9 to arrange for the transfer bus to collect you. You'll then need to leave the terminal, follow signs for the drop zone and look out for a black Mercedes sprinter (this will be your shuttle bus). Get the bus back to the car park and when you get back, just head to reception to hand in your ticket, collect your keys and pick up your car.

If you lose your ticket, you'll need to answer some security questions and show photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. You can't get a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Due to the ongoing redevelopment works at Luton Airport, your transfers to and from the airport may take longer than normal. We recommend you allow at least an extra hour for your transfer to the Airport particularly at peak times.
The peak travel times for Luton airport are all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and between 0400 and 0900, 1300 and 1500 and 1700 and 1900 on other days.

Hi We land at 23.40 do we need to pay for the extra day incase we don't leave the terminal on time? Thanks you can put the flight landing time, you will only be charged if your flight is delayed by a few hours
