Perfect place to park. Took a ticket barrier lifted and we parked car then walked took us about 3 minutes to get into airport. After holiday walked back to car set off got to barrier inserted ticket & it lifted then on way home.

Everything was fine, until leaving the car park at the end of our trip. The barrier did not lift and a charge of £75 was asked for. However, thanks to keeping all our booking details from FHR handy, and quoting the appropriate code over the exit gate intercom ( to a very helpful person) the problem was resolved very quickly.

Transport to and from airport was slow and after getting back to airport waited for 15 mins for transport.The intercom was broken so no way of knowing when transport was arriving

Couldn`t be any easier, arrive at the barrier, collect your ticket, park your car and wait for the bus to arrive to take you to the terminal. On your return, wait for the bus, collect your car and drive to the exit, present ticket, the barrier lifts and you are on you way.

Always book with you and get great experience every time. I was driving through the exit this time, (usually it's my husband) and found that the slot for the ticket was too high from the driver's window. I am not tall so maybe this was the problem, but the process did make me wonder how disabled customers manage....

Directions for Long Stay (PP)
The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696.Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north).
Take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the long stay car park.
Arriving at the car park:
Drive to the car park - driving directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. Take a ticket at the barrier, park in any space and keep your keys.
From there, it's a short walk to the term
On return
When you've got your bags, walk back to the car park. Drive to the barrier, put your ticket into the barrier and it will let you out. If you have any problems, press the help button on the machine to talk to a member of the team.
There are extra-wide spaces for disabled customers in Zone N.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £12 per day. This is subject to change.
