No shuttle service and the long stay car park was very full so we had a long walk to the terminal that’s not so bad in dry weather in day light, but after a week away on holiday trying to find your car in a huge car park in the dark isn’t easy.

This booking was made prior to covid but not used for 3years. In that time I changed my car & notified FHR of the change in registration number, make, model & colour of car. When leaving the car park, I was told I would have to pay £394 for my stay in long term car park at Newcastle Airport. I rang for assistance & spoke to someone & explained the situation, he checked a few details & told me the old registration number was still on the booking it had not been changed, but did let me out without paying this charge. I have used FHR several times & always found them to be very helpful.

A very long walk to terminal from only available spaces at far perimeter as it doesn't seem you can rely on shuttle bus. And it's uphill. We much prefer the service we had for years from Callerton and Bellair. Must commend the "barrier controller" who helped when our automatic parking brake jammed at the barrier. A STAR.

I thought on my recent airport parking service was fantastic, booked and paid for online.All we had to do go straight to long stay carpark took ticket from barrier machine left it in car for our arrival back from our destination and drove to exit of car park, put ticket in the machine to release barrier.

Directions for Long Stay (PP)
The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696.Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north).
Take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the long stay car park.
Arriving at the car park:
Drive to the car park - driving directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. Take a ticket at the barrier, park in any space and keep your keys.
From there, it's a short walk to the term
On return
When you've got your bags, walk back to the car park. Drive to the barrier, put your ticket into the barrier and it will let you out. If you have any problems, press the help button on the machine to talk to a member of the team.
There are extra-wide spaces for disabled customers in Zone N.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £12 per day. This is subject to change.
