Parking was okay , We did not appreciate waiting on a Car park Hoppa bus on our return, Flight arrived on time we waited at the designated bus shelter after ten minutes I phoned the control room and was told 2 buses were on there way the 2 buses arrived but did not take us until they returned later which added to our already substantial wait. So we and other customers for Callerton car park were not happy customers.

What a difference compared to last July when we used the parking service, no complaints about the staff last year they were great, but their reception office was needing refurbished, plus the buses were getting old. This year a new reception office, new buses,and better customer parking, also a dedicated pick up, and drop off point outside the terminal, no need to phone to be picked up. The staff again this year were great. Will be using Callerton Parking again in October this year, Thanks.

Good points: Location, quick pick up, reasonable price. Bad points: Our flight was due to land at 23:45. The website seems to imply that you should book a space for your arrival time at the car park not flight landing. So assuming we wouldn't arrive until after 24:00 i felt i needed to book an extra day only to be told when arriving at the car park that i need not have and id paid for a day completely unnecessarily. This could and should have been avoided simply by making it clearer at the booking stage.

It was really good very friendly and very helpful when I came back my car wouldn't start so they came with battery booster pack to start my car I've used use quite a few time and would recommend use to friends and family

Parking at Callerton is always easy and the staff very helpful. Usually into airport within 15 mins of arriving and do not have to wait long on the return.

Really quick service when we arrived. On our return to pick up the car it was not ready and we had to wait a wee bit for it to come to the front. However this did not take too long.

Everything went smoothly again,no waiting.Being disabled the driver,when he picked us up at Airport,helped me up into bus & he took cases right to my car.Must Helpful. Have used FRH many times,never any complaints.

We were very impressed with the efficiency of the service. The only criticism we have is that on returning we boarded the taxi at the Callerton bus collection point and got on the first bus which came. The driver did say were we all fly and drive which we thought was a general comment but unfortunately for us we were classed as Callerton airport and should have said this. We think this should have been pointed out at the outset as the driver wasn't too pleased when he had to take us to Callerton. On booking in our car at Callerton we were told that the whole of the airport parking was one firm so we just thought the comment "fly and drive" was a general term not another firm. But a trivial point in an excellent service.

Online booking and drop off fine. Pick up was hopeless.It was raining and queue was too big for the shelter.Got soaked and had to wait about half an hour - everyone was complaining - and rightly so - it was pathetic.

Very near the airport and quick transfers to departures. Only a few minutes wait to collect us on arrival and again quick transfer to collect our car. Extremely efficient and friendly service.

No problems on arriving to leave my car. The gentleman who booked car in was very friendly & courteous. He lifted my suitcase out of the boot of my car as I was travelling alone. When icollected my car on return, I didn't receive the same courtesy & struggled to lift my case I to my car. I would use caller ton again as the price was competitive and it is very close to the airport.

Directions for Newcastle - Callerton Parking

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

FROM THE A1, take the slip road to the left, signed A696 Jedburgh and Airport; go along the A696 to the airport taking the 2nd slip road on the left, signed Woolsington & Throckley. At the top of the slip road turn right, go straight over the roundabout, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

SOUTHBOUND on A68/A696, go through the village of Ponteland towards Newcastle, straight over at the roundabout and along the dual carriageway. After approx. 500 yards, take the first slip road on left for Woolsington & Throckley. At top of slip road turn left, Callerton Parking is located on the right, as you approach the Metro lines.

EASTBOUND on the A69, travel along the A69 until you come to a turn off for Throckley. At the end of the slip road turn left onto the B6323. At T-junction turn right and continue on the road, taking the 2nd turn in left, signed Black Callerton (ignore 1st turn in for the Airport). Follow the road for approx. 2 miles. When you reach roundabout, go straight over, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

On arrival
Please report to the car park Reception on arrival and present your confirmation Voucher or FHR Booking Reference number. A member of our team will transfer you on our courtesy bus up to the terminal.

On return
On return, proceed to where the bus dropped you off on arrival (the large bus shelter directly in front of the terminal, just in front of the express car park). This is where the new pick up point is. One of our representatives will be awaiting your return to take you back to Callerton Parking.

Can you have your car parked under cover ?Thank you for your enquiry, we have contacted Callerton Parking who have advised that they do not offer undercover parking.
What happens if I notice damage to my vehicle not caused by myself but after being parked at Callerton car park? It was dark when I collected my vehicle so I was unable to see any damage until I returned home. No car park will normally not allow claims after the car has been taken out of the car park. can I get an earlier transfer back to my car if my flight lands before the specified timeTransfers are running all the time so that would not be a problem
