The check in was quick polite and efficient. Room spick and span, very comfortable Bar and restaurant well staffed with courteous, pleasant and efficient people. And yes I would definitely stay here again, but only if I get a positive response to the below, reason for only a 3 star rating, otherwise it would be 5. When we checked in I informed the girl I had a mobility car, displayed my blue badge and parked in a disabled slot. No problem I was told, but was asked to leave my keys incase the car had to moved for "operational" reasons. I was informed that if my car had to be moved, when we returned the car would be at the hotel door ready for me, I had no problem with this. Not only was my car not there, either where I'd left it or at the door, but staff were not sure where it was, girl went to check I was informed it was in the main hotel car park, bearing in mind I use a stick and have difficulty walking, off we went to look for the car. Nowhere to be seen. Back to reception, asked where my car was, Isn't it in the car park I was informed???No why do you think I'm back here asking?? Girl went off to check again, after some time managerial guy comes out, Can't you find your car? Said we'd look in big park across the road, again I had to walk with him to locate my car 200 meters away in car park. I let him know in no uncertain terms what I thought, he was a nice polite guy and most apologetic, said he would get to the bottom of it. So now after an hour waiting we were able to begin our journey back to Aberdeen. As I said, great hotel, perfect location, good food and drink polite and efficient staff, But the car incident put a damper on it. Hotel fine for overnight stay when catching flights or when coming home. Rooms have been improved which is good, clean and ample for putting your head down before you travel. Food wasn't good. My husband ordered a well done steak and it came back cremated. Onion rings were frozen. Also breakfast I have food intolerances. The only thing I could have was a banana. Not too bad choice for other travellers but very limited.

Very good value with the inclusive parking. Have stayed here several times and the takeover by HI Express has produced several benefits. Improvements to noise insulation between rooms would be welcome as would a tarmac surfacing to the at times very muddy parking area. For info the return shuttle service is now £2.50 and very efficient and regular.

Convenient parking at a good price, with friendly and helpful staff. Bus driver on the transfer to the airport was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the one coming back was the very opposite.
