Just one of the many Hotels near Gatwick Airport available from FHR.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Gatwick Europa Hotel .We leave the car there and then take a taxi to the north terminal. the hotel is just so easy to find . it is really convenient for us .

Firstly may I say that the parking and the service that I received from FHR was excellent especially as my flight from Egypt was delayed by two days. Alternative hotel dates and extended parking was not an issue, even taking in to consideration that the Government travel advice given had caused worry. FHR made booking amendments and communicated these to me in a way that seemed effortless for their staff, saving me and my partner unnecessary worry - I could not praise FHR staff highly enough ..... and that is where the praise finishes. The rating for FHR would be 5 stars for sure! ..... Unfortunately your rating system goes from 1 star to 5 stars - the hotel experience deserves no less than zero stars .... to be perfectly honest, this experience was the worst I have ever known. I travel the country extensively on business, staying at many hotels. I was greeted at reception by being offered a smoking or non-smoking bedroom - I wish that I had taken the smoking option as the room we were given was stinking of mould and tobacco may have masked the odour. The carpets in the bedroom were sticky and stained, the bathroom was mouldy, the chairs in the room were dirty ....... everything was particularly dated, although the hotel is about 20 years old as I understand ..... I would just like to add, that the room I described was the better alternative to the first room we were given ..... I would not recommend this place to anyone - having read Trip Advisor reviews since, I question myself as to why I booked here in the first place.

Hotel ok. Bit tired in places. Ok for a night before going away. Very busy in reception area. Lots of men just sitting around and outside smoking and drinking made me feel a little uneasy. May have been just a one off. Easy parking and as you keep your keys no problem when you return to collect your car. Did not eat at hotel so can't comment on that.

Absolutely shocking hotel ... I have never stayed anywhere like this before and never will again. It served a purpose for cheap parking for 2 weeks - but that was it. Condition of hotel rooms appalling and filthy. I will also be reviewing this hotel on trip advisor. Will definitely pay more next time to stay somewhere that is at least clean. On the plus side, James behind front desk was brilliant and even saved us a parking space as we were arriving late at night ... His other colleagues at front desk though were completely useless. Taxi service was great - super fast and efficient.

I will not park or stay at this hotel again as what we seen on arrival at the hotel we were so shocked at what we saw, there were cars vans of all sorts parked in such a way there was no orginised parking it was like a scrap yard. i asked at reception were to park my car and was told to look for a space and put my car there it was absolute chaos. when we got back from our holiday at the hotel there were 2 coaches there and 1 of them had hit some of the cars that were parked there i told the girl at reception about this and her reply was IT HAPPENS so i will strongly recermend NOT to use this hotel. As for future bookings for parking and hotel we will still use FHR but not at the Gatwick Europa.

We have used this hotel many times for a stay and park whilst on holiday. Over the years it has become so tired and the room we stayed in on this occasion was in a terrible condition. Wallpaper hanging off, mould everywhere, the window wouldn't shut as the handle was broken off. The beds looked like they had been slept in and we're all ruffled up!! Unfortunately we have already rebooked this hotel well in advance for our next holiday(so as to get the best price) and hope that FHR will exchange to a better hotel for us as we had no idea the Europa had deteriorated into such a poor state of repair.

Unbelievable! I know it was cheap but didn't expect to have to park in the hedge. Car park totally overfull. Car still in the same place on return with a couple of small dents. Inside the "Hotel" there were so many hiccups: Door keys not working, room service took 1/2 hour to answer then another 1/2 hour to bring a baked spud. Sofas ripped and dirty, table tops sticky with old drinks, lacklustre staff apart from a chap from Gambia who was being run ragged by other guests but still managed a smile. The 1 star is for him.

No parking spaces available so had to leave my car in a zone where parking was prohibited. I worried throughout my holiday that my car was going to get damaged or clamped and towed away. Pillows were rock hard and hotel was noisy. Never again

The car parking was really bad clearly the hotel lacked sufficient spaces for the number of rooms that it offered. This was despite using every nook and cranny of space including original lawns and garden. The rooms were very very tired On return we waited 20 minutes after booking the car in pouring rain We certainly not use this hotel again!!!!

Hotel room was clean enough but rest of hotel was not as same standard and we were not given our breakfast " pass " when checked in and the supervisor was rude to us when we tried to get a table not customer friendly at all. Just managed to find a parking space for our car.

No stars Imagine Fawlty Towers had a holiday parking scheme......... This hotel is a joke. Parking layout is terrible and there are not enough spaces. We couldn't get a space and while we were waiting to speak to them, one family had returned from holiday to find their car boxed in by a bus, a father and teenage daughter were given a double bedroom despite booking a twin because it was "all that was left" and another family were driving around the car park for 3 hours trying to find a space. The staff just shrugged - not their fault - the manager actually agreed that the car park was a disgrace and a health and safety hazard but blamed the booking companies (like FHR) for overbooking; Really unbelievable and definitely in need of a visit from the hotel inspectors. FHR really should not be associated with a hotel this bad! When we couldn't get a space we were eventually put up in another hotel closer to Gatwick - probably the best thing that could have happened!

The hotel served it's purpose. It provided a room with appropriate beds for 5 people - 2 adults and 3 older teenagers (so effectively 5 adult sized people). Therefore much cheaper than having to book multiple rooms. Left car for week whilst on holiday - although initially it was difficult to find a space. Taxi to and from airport worked well and efficiently. Room was a little sparse and dingy - not enough cups for 5. We paid for breakfast when booking but it didn't start till after we needed to leave so had to forfeit it.

This hotel is filthy. The staff are rude. There are dodgy people hanging about in the early hours of the morning and people sleeping on the sofas in reception. I really think you should take it off your books

Value for money is an understatement - very impressed. The only hitch was us being given a key to a room which was occupied by other guests. Thankfully, they had a sense of humour but we did get an upgrade to a suite by way of a management apology

Hotel was overbooked and we arrived at 1.30 in the morning only to have to drive to another hotel 20 minutes away. The front of house staff in the hotel were excellent, they handled a situation that was not of their making very well and should be commended. The hotel did organise alternative accommodation - and offered a taxi, but that would have meant returning to the hotel by taxi the next day to pick up the car which had been parked while we were away - increasing the inconvenience. So we will never recommend or use this hotel again. We booked a hotel because we were so late landing and wanted to reduce the stress and tiredness resulting from an inconvenient flight time. However, on the contrary, we found our stress and fatigue increased, not decreased by booking with the Europa. What a waste of money, we may as well have continued to our destination.

Have stayed at this hotel several times previously with no problems always seemed basic but convenient for transport. However arrived this time to find that after booking the bus times had been altered. Previously the bus had run a service over 24hours but now only runs from 04.00am which was too late to get us to the North terminal to catch our flight. The hotel were totally disinterested in the fact that we had expected a bus transfer and informed me that the booking agent should have let us know. We did however catch the bus on return and this service has become a joke. The bus now runs through 2 industrial areas, to the local Tesco, local pub and housing estate before going to the hotel, a journey of approx. 30 mins which is not what you want on return from holiday. .Bar meals are available and the food was quite good value but be aware there are no tables to sit at to eat them unless you want to eat kneeling down as only available tables are about 18inches high. Best advice get a taxi or better still stay somewhere else.
