What is the drop-off procedure?

Park in one of the bays outside the reception, then head inside to the check in desk . Show your confirmation and the staff will allocate you a parking space and you will be given a receipt. You can then take your keys or if you prefer you can leave your keys if you prefer. The courtesy bus service will then take you to Bus Stand 7 at the terminal to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.

What security measures does the car park have?

I have used this car park often, as it is always one of the cheapest for Edinburgh Airport, with frequent buses - the latest bus is much larger with more seats, and racks in front to store luggage. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 this time is that we arrived in morning rush hour, and the bus was stuck in traffic for some time due to the route it takes, as this car park is across the A8 from the airport. This was not their fault, but is a factor in deciding whether to use this car park in future at that time of day, especially as the same company operates another car park nearer the airport that costs slightly more.

Only problem I had I couldn't find the freephone as the airport when wee arrived home , and the number on my card to phone from my mobile was not very clear , but managed to work it out

Really straight forward booking from start to finish. Great service when checking the car in, very friendly and chatty. Also great service when we arrived back from the minute I called to say we had landed to collecting the car which was sitting there waiting on us. Highly recommended and would definitely use again.

Kept the car safe and its was ready waiting for us when we returned. Unfortunately we found the bus service to be a bit slow. On the way out, they bus took a long time to take us to the airport as it waited on late passengers arriving so although we gave it plenty of time there was a panic on to get to the airport on time. Perhaps coming back for them would have helped the others who were trying to get out there! On our return we called the telephone number but found that the answer machine was full. We were waiting for over 20mins for a bus with several others. Its a shame it happened as when we booked in they took our incoming flight details so that, even though our flight was delayed, they knew when we landed. Wont be using this service again as even though it isn't far from the airport they could do with some better organisation.

Directions for Low Cost Parking

Arrival Procedure

You can leave your keys and your car will be parked for you, or you can park yourself if you'd prefer

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return

All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.
