What is the drop-off procedure?

Park in one of the bays outside the reception, then head inside to the check in desk . Show your confirmation and the staff will allocate you a parking space and you will be given a receipt. You can then take your keys or if you prefer you can leave your keys if you prefer. The courtesy bus service will then take you to Bus Stand 7 at the terminal to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return after you have collected your luggage and are leaving the terminal call the number on your receipt for a pickup and make your way to Bus Stand 7.

What security measures does the car park have?

Im used to parking up my own car at airports but I must say that parking at the reception desk and dropping off your keys does make life a little easier. The car was at the front awaiting my arrival and saved me having to look for the car which is what I usualy have to do. To top it all it was the cheapest quote for the parking so you should not hesitate to book your airport parking with FHR

Just one little thing, I phoned up a few days prior to me coming to the car park for directions as leaving car very early in the morning and was directed to other car park, which I nearly missed my flight as took about another 25 mins to go to the other car park check in and get to the airport The staff on where excellent and manged to get me to the other car park and just made my flight. So well done

Very courteous staff on arrival. Did not have to wait long for bus to the airport. Very slick operation. We were late coming home. Phoned after collecting our luggage and were met fairly quickly. No hassle. Would definitely recommend.

I have used this carpark and another nearby also run by the same organisation several times. I would expect more of a discount. The service has always been excellent. However, on return this time, I had to drag my bag up the stairs to the office to get my car key and the man looked at me as though he was saying "what do you want?' I then had to carry my suitcase down the stairs again! I expected a smile and a helping hand and courtesy and that is what I usually get. However, I was disappointed with the behaviour of the staff.

Journey to airport was fine. Home - driver was very curt and almost rude to a few customers. Seemed under a great amount of stress - said " It's always like this on a Friday night as 3 flights come in together" Surely this should be addressed! Our car could not be found at the carpark - wasn't parked where it should have been seemingly. We spent @ 20 minutes looking for it in the dark and cold! Very disappointing!

the only downside was the bus just drove away when we were walking to it the driver would not know we were coming to his bus as we were still in the tunnel and maybe the bus was full but last night at 23-15 it was very cold and it seemed ages before a bus came back other than thay everything was great and when we got to our car the guy had our engine running so the car was nice and warm which was a treat

Arrival Procedure

You can leave your keys and your car will be parked for you, or you can park yourself if you'd prefer

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return

All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.
