Hi, on the whole the parking was good, bus was waiting when we arrived, driver helped on us on. Didn't have to long to wait on thectutrb although the driver didn't help, maybe it was due to being late at night and safety but it was easy and handy. The only downside I found to the parking was the directions to get into the car park at arrival as work was being done and the entry we were directed to was closed so maybe better signage there

The parking met our needs and the price was good. We had difficulty finding the parking as there were comes across the entrance when we arrived at 3.30am and no signs for further instructions or directions. At that time in the morning there were very few people about to ask. It was only by chance I decided to follow the staff parking sign to further along the road that I then saw the other sign for plane parking. This did cause a bit of anxiety when we were trying to catch an early flight.

I had used Plane Parking on several occasions prior to COVID and had found the service to be very good. This was the first time I had used Plane Parking since COVID and immediately ran into a problem. I took my reservation, completed my travel and returned to the parking area to pick up my car and head home. However when I got to the exit gate I couldn't leave as the gate display advised that I had to pay £286.00! I contacted the office via the exit gate intercom. I was asked for my vehicle registration number and was told there was no record of my booking. I was then asked for my name and again told there was no record of my booking. I then offered the booking reference number and again was told there was no record of any booking! By this time the cars stuck behind me were getting somewhat frustrated. Eventually the person I was speaking too suddenly fund my booking and opened the gate. His tone though was as if it was my fault that he couldn't find my prepaid booking! You might want to have a look at the process used and how booking info is passed to the site. I prefer the sites that acknowledge your arrival by displaying your name by matching ANPR and booking reference. When you are at the end of a holiday you just want to get on your way and not get stuck in the car park. I have marked below that I would use Plane Parking Edinburgh again though I will be checking alternate providers.

A good car park with buses running regularly from car park to airport The only thing I would advise is not to look it up on google maps as they have it on the left hand side of the road and closer to the airport . We have already booked this car park for our next trip

Good value and price, drivers polite and friendly, only issue wad that we had changed the car a few weeks before and advised of the changes, on exiting the car park we were advised of a cost of over £170, this was the third time this had happened to us and we were prepared for it again, obviously an issue that needs addressing, this wouldn't put us off using Plane Parking again as it represents good value for money.

The parking was easy to find following the instructions given. The driver was friendly and helpful as we arrived in torrential rain! The parking was busy but we found a space further into the area. The transfer bus was clean and took us directly to the stop. On return at midnight, the bus arrived quickly and the transfer was efficient . Once again the driver was friendly and helpful. We would have benefited with more parking location indicators as we arrived in a downpour and returned in the dark which made locating the car a bit tricky. More numbers indicating rows would really help.

Fine - a fair way from the terminal but good roads within the car park and a good bus service. Difficult to find the pick-up point at the airport if you've forgotten where it was!

Great service, as always. I made a mistake with my car registration number on my booking and didn’t notice until the day of travel. Not a problem as they fixed it for me at the car park entry gate. Friendly and courteous staff. Car park walking distance to airport so no need to wait for a bus.

Used the car park for a five day trip. In comparison to the price quoted at the barrier, it's excellent value. Transfer to the airport was quick, and the new taxi/shuttle bus stances certainly allow you to stretch your legs before flying! Placing them behind the tram terminus makes sense but a lack of trollies made it long pull with suitcases. That was actually the longest part of the arrival process. Passport control and baggage reclaim was smooth and efficient and we were in the car and off home 20 minutes after landing! Surely a record.

Used this service several times with no issues but this time there were very limited spaces and we ended up so far from the terminal. Sign posts were non existent and pedestrian walkways limited. On our return it was teaming with rain and our walk to the car was again hampered by no signage and this time the walk way was flooded. This service needs the bus reinstated or wouldn’t use again.

On the day of travel my car whose booking was under broke down. I was travelling 3hrs to the airport. I was unable to change amend booking within 48 hrs of departure and Booking FHR office is closed at a weekend so rebooked another car park under FHR. When contacted FHR by email i was unable to claim refund or credit not as FHR stated they would still be charged ( booked another provider via FHR as this was cheaper.) Bit disappointed not even a credit note as circumstances out of my control and there was no one to contact as office is closed on a weekend and I travelled on a Saturday.

NEW LOCATION FROM JUNE 2022 - 10 MIN TRANSFER - BUSES EVERY 12 MINUTESPlease note: Postcode EH12 9DN is for the airport, please ensure you follow the below directions or use GPS coordinates 55.946071, -3.346477
Located at the Airport with great views of the East runway.
Catch the bus to the terminal. Buses run every 12 mins, and drops-off and picks up at East Terminus.
Coming from the A8 Glasgow Road, along Eastfield Road, follow the signs for Edinburgh Airport and at the roundabout at the Moxy / DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel turn right, and take the third exit
Go past the car rental centre and over the tram tracks
Once over the tram tracks, there is another roundabout. Take the third exit and continue along the road following signs for Plane Parking.
On arrival
Drive up to the barriers and the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system will read your vehicle registration number and automatically issue you with a ticket. The ticket will show your vehicle registration number, and this will correspond to the booking details we have for you on our system.
Once parked, please make your way to one of the two Plane Parking bus stops located within the car park.
The free shuttle bus arrives once every 12 minutes, with a short 10 minute journey to the terminal.
Customers who require PRM assistance should contact airport services, for assistance on arrival day.
Departure:
To exit the car park, drive up the barrier and insert your ticket. The system will check your details and the barrier will open. If there are any problems, press the intercom button to talk to our staff.
Make sure you have a copy of your booking confirmation with you.
Please note - don't turn off early and park in NCP Scotpark as this is not an Edinburgh Airport car park and your booking won't be valid.
At the discretion of the car park you will have a 2 hour grace period prior to arrival and a 2 hour grace period on return. If you pick your car up early, we can't give you a refund.
If you arrive or depart outside your booking period, you will incur an additional charge based on Edinburgh Airport's standard short stay tariff, currently £40 per day or part thereof (subject to change)

If you know in advance of your return that you do need to park for longer than your pre-booked period, you can also book the additional days ad times on the web site. You must make sure you book for the same car park. On return press the buzzer and quote both booking reference numbers.
