Everything went like clockwork excepting a small hiccup on collecting our car. The screen advised us to collect our car from area N . A staff member helped us to find it in H when we could not find in N. Our ticket seemed to have slight indentations on N and H; hence the confusion but only a slight delay involved

I like that the car park is very easy to find, coming from M1 J9. Check-in and check- out is all automated so you must take your confirmation email with the reference. Buses leave every 20 minutes and we arrived with pleny of time to catch the 6.40 bus but this bus got full very quickly and left early. Instead of providing an additional bus (which was already there), there were a large number of people now left waiting for the next bus at 7am. The journey time is quoted as 10 minutes and at 7am we just about did it in 10 minutes. It might be longer if there is traffic.The bus driver we had was a little rude, in my opinion and did not appreciate that we now had to rush to departures. Luckily the queue at security was short but you can never predict this. Coming back, keep hold of the tag on your key as you will need this to raise the automated barrier. If you book this car park, be prepared to wait up to 35 minutes for the transfer in case the bus leaves early.

Good and secure but confusing as to where to go for the bus, only give a ticket to get keys back. Not sure which row my car was on as didn't see the screen with the letter on and N was not visible from the ticket station. Not told you need to use the key fob bar code to get out of the car park Overall good car park but further info needs to be sent out, just a quick email on what to do when you get back... not forgetting you may be tired so forget. Having an email with the info on would be great. The directions to the car park email was great and very informative.

We are really pleased with the Airparks service. It's so easy and you never have to wait too long for the bus to take you to or collect you from the airport. The automated system is quick and easy to use, but there is help on hand if you need it.

Fine except that you have to wait in a totally open area for the bus to return to the car park. SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY they really need to provide shelters for the buses at Luton Airport now that winter has arrived. It is TOTALLY unacceptable to expect people to stand out in the open air, whilst waiting for their bus.

It's been very good this time round, but it can be worse when you travel at peak hours. Luckily we didn't travel this time at the morning or evening Luton peak hours! To be sure always give it at least an extra half an hour when you use Airparks.

From booking the parking to collecting our car after our holiday it was a simple fuss-free process. Staff on hand at the drop-off and pick-up point to assist with using the automated booking in and collection machines. Buses running regularly and effectively. As per normal booking in the car and returning absolutely perfect, so I thought I would give the valet service a try ! Inside the car was very good but outside windscreen smeary and bodywork , really poorly done!

Directions for Airparks
Coming from the North (M1)Leave the M1 at junction 10
At the motorway roundabout, take the first exit from the north onto Airport Way A1081.
Keep in the left hand lane and take the slip road signposted towards St. Albans, Harpenden A1081.
You'll come out onto a roundabout where you should take the first exit onto London Road.
At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted St Albans, Harpenden A1081.
Turn left onto the B4540, signposted Slip End and Markyate.
At the traffic lights, turn right onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.
Coming from the South (M1)
Leave the M1 at junction 9.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A5183
Continue on A5183 for approximately 2 miles and at the traffic lights turn right onto B4540 (Luton Road towards Luton)
Continue on B4540 for approximately 1.5 miles into Slip End village and at the traffic lights turn left onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.
Some travellers have had trouble finding Airparks with their sat navs, so we suggest you take our directions into account. If you choose to use a sat nav to get to the car park, make sure you use the full address to avoid getting lost.
On arrival:
Pull up at the entrance barrier, which will lift after a few seconds (all cars coming into the site are recorded on CCTV). Park in one of the arrivals bays, then head into the check-in building. You check yourself in using the machines - it's a very quick process, though you'll need to have a copy of your booking confirmation with you. There's a member of staff on hand to help if you need it
The machine will give you a tag, which you should attach to your keys, and a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. Drop your keys in the box with the same number as the lane you've parked in. Your car will be parked for you, so just head to the waiting area and hop on the bus to the airport. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver.
If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

Returning home
Catch the shuttle bus from bus bay 17 – you’ll need to show the driver your ticket. Once you’re back at the car park, head to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser – it will return your keys and tell you where your car is parked.
Then just drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode attached to your keys, and then the barrier will lift. If you lose your ticket, you'll need to go to reception, answer some security questions, then show a photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.
If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

We normally advise our customers to give themselves 40 minutes to park at Airparks and transfer to the airport - longer during the rush hour between 4am and 8am. However, there are currently roadworks on the M1 between junctions 6a and 12, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey to Airparks too. Hi there, I'm worried about my return flight being delayed, as I don't wish to pay extra charges.I read that there is a grace period up until midnight. However, my flight isn't scheduled to land until 10pm. I noticed that if i book up until about 09:30 the following morning, the price is the same. Is it safer to do this, to avoid extra charges? And then just inform staff when I've landed?You can do that if you like, as that would cover you. However, the vehicles are bought out of the main storage compound ready for customers to collect, so I would,t add too much extra time or your car may not be bought out of the compound if you are several hours earlier
