What else do I need to know?

Maximum vehicle dimensions are 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the above maximum dimensions. There are larger spaces for longer vehicles, but you?ll need to book the Larger vehicle package for those. Vehicles with a taxi license plate can be parked on-site, but cannot use the Return Greet or Meet and Greet services offered by ShortRun.

Central Car Storage were helpful during booking and friendly on arrival. The service was good, however it was not made clear where to meet when arriving back at Luton and no contact was made with me as I was wandering around in the pouring rain. I had to call the office twice and go through lengthy directions to find the pick up van. Totally soaked and not the best end to my trip.

The car park was absolutely perfect in every way possible, not far away from the airport at all like some advertised car parks, this one was 2 mins away, our transport was there waiting, as was our car on return to the car park, the main reason we booked with fhr was that it come up with the cheapest quote and we also left it to the last minute to book, usually this would predict the rise in price leaving it such short notice, but fhr were very reasonable, no complaints at all whatsoever. Great service!!! Keep up the good work and competitive pricing!!! The check in process was easy too!

The booking & invoicing procedure was easy and straightforward via the FHR website and by email. The Central Car Storage staff were friendly and welcoming and soon transported us to our outward flight. On return, their minivan collected us within 7 minutes of phoning them from the arrival terminal and had our car waiting for us at their storage site. We like the idea of a manned reception office and that our car was stored at the same site and not a remote location. We would definitely recommend both FHR and Central Car Storage.

As always, the service was friendly and efficient. Our flight landed after 11pm and after we had collected our suitcases, we rang central car storage. Their mini bus was waiting for us when we got to the drop off area and we were in our own car in no time. When flying from Luton, this is always our 1st choice for parking.

As always the service was excellent and all went like clockwork. Within a few minutes of arrival our bags had been loaded into the courtesy van and we were on our way to the airport. On return from our trip the arrangements were equally straightforward and efficient. We were back at your office within 10 minutes of clearing customs and our car was waiting for us right outside your office. I would thoroughly recommend your services to anyone driving to Luton. Far easier and quciker than using the car parking facilities inside the airport compex.

Directions for Central Car Storage

Leave the M1 at junction 10, taking the second exit onto New Airport Way, following signs for the airport.
After 2.5 miles, take a left onto the B653 towards Dunstable.
Take the first exit at the roundabout onto Gipsy Lane, between the retail park and Venue 360.
At the mini-roundabout, take the second exit.
Take the second exit at the next mini-roundabout onto Kimpton Road, signposted for the Chamber of Commerce.
Take a right opposite Hayward Tyler onto the service road.
ShortRun (Central Car Storage) will be on your left.

On arrival:
When you get to the car park, park in front of the check-in building. It's on the right, inside the main gates. Offload your bags and head to the check-in building. There, you'll be met by one of the car park's friendly staff who'll take your keys and check you in. Make sure you have your booking confirmation with you. You'll be given a ticket that'll you'll need to keep with you for your return, and the staff will park your car for you. Then, just hop on the transfer bus to the airport and you'll be there in 5 minutes.

On return:
Once you have collected your luggage, call the car park on the number on your confirmation 9 to arrange for the transfer bus to collect you. You'll then need to leave the terminal, follow signs for the drop zone and look out for a black Mercedes sprinter (this will be your shuttle bus). Get the bus back to the car park and when you get back, just head to reception to hand in your ticket, collect your keys and pick up your car.

If you lose your ticket, you'll need to answer some security questions and show photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. You can't get a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Due to the ongoing redevelopment works at Luton Airport, your transfers to and from the airport may take longer than normal. We recommend you allow at least an extra hour for your transfer to the Airport particularly at peak times.
The peak travel times for Luton airport are all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and between 0400 and 0900, 1300 and 1500 and 1700 and 1900 on other days.
