I think there should be a number on the actual car bay where you park e.g. (g27, f21) so it's easier to locate your car when you return after having to park through the night in the dark

In terms of process everything was fine, from the online booking to number plate recognition cameras all very smooth and can not fault. What could be better in terms of the car park is greater emphasis on available spaces in each car park. At Newcastle you have to do alot of driving around the car park to find available spaces. I appreciate that these car parks are busy and constantly changing but at the airport you are left to your own devices to find a space on what is a very full car park and on a timescale so you feel under pressure. I also feel the complimentary bus service to the terminal is a little inconsitant and quite often nobody answers the phone to the duty office.

We were delayed due to no plane as it had not taken off from UK due to malfunction. We flew into stansted then taxi to Newcastle. My wife called into office to see if further payment was not required before we collected the car. She was told by the guy in the office the booking had been cancelled and full payment would be required, she informed him we had changed the reg on the booking and had recieved an e mail to confirm. His attitude was very rude, my wife returned to the car and I located the booking e mail and I returned to the office as my wife would not return. When returning to the office He then inputted into computer and found the booking was OK and returned the barrier ticket to me, no apology . Not a very pleasant man.

Very disappointed that buses were unavailable to take us to the airport as my friend has bad mobility and found it difficult to walk so far. On arriving the bus was full and could not pick us up but there was no second bus in sight and in fact one did not pass us in the half hour it took us to walk. When we arrived back there were no buses at all.

The screen showed I owed £122 whe I came to leave. I gave booking reference to attendant who said it wasn’t valid but when he came out and checked my email he opened gate for me

All went quite smoothly. Glad to see there was no charging for being about an hour or so late on leaving the car park ( due to incredibly slow processing of luggage and in the end also having to report it missing!)

I have used this service before with no problems but on this occasion the barrier did not lift up and a message said a payment of £110 was due. After a long day of flying this is the last thing I wanted and I was furious to be delayed. The staff at the gatehouse quickly solved the problem and they immediately lifted the barrier. Two stars for the staff quickly solving the problem. Zero stars for the £110 request.

Easy to access parking unfortunately some people park at end of rows making it more difficult to access spaces/exit. Also as we arrived home early hours difficult seeing the lettering of parking zones...maybe these could be illuminated.

Directions for Long Stay (PP)

The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696.
Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north).
Take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the long stay car park.

Arriving at the car park:
Drive to the car park - driving directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. Take a ticket at the barrier, park in any space and keep your keys.

From there, it's a short walk to the term



On return
When you've got your bags, walk back to the car park. Drive to the barrier, put your ticket into the barrier and it will let you out. If you have any problems, press the help button on the machine to talk to a member of the team.

There are extra-wide spaces for disabled customers in Zone N.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £12 per day. This is subject to change.
