Quick and easy and close to terminal however when arriving home at night I feel that the car parks are dimly lit and would benefit by introducing extra lights .

More signage directions in car park would make parking easier, also an indication of where free spaces are to be found would help, drove around for almost 10 minutes trying to find a free space

I have used FHR quite a few times now and will again, this is the first time I used them for park at Newcastle, my only problem was I know it stated Long stay car park was a short walk to the terminal, which is fine for me by not my elderly mother. Having said that when we parked up a minibus pulled up and took us to the terminal to when we came back we waited 20 minutes for the minibus back only to be told there wasnt one which caused a big problem with my mother who had had to have assistance within the terminal. Maybe FHR could forward this to NCL airport authorities who could make it clear there is no free transport to the terminal and put notices up in the bus stops too to save old people standing around in 4 degrees of heat.

Card did not work at exit barrier and attendant had to issue a replacement. An unwanted faff after a 4 hour flight on a freezing cold night!

Bhf were great but newcastle airport parking was horrendous!! No bus service to and from terminal building...walking, dragging suitcases in the pouring rain on a dark early morning is horrendous. How do older people or parents with pushchairs manage? Why has the bus service stopped? Secondly our ticket would not let us leave the car park so had to reverse from the barriers to go to the office and get it validated....such hassle!!

Directions for Long Stay (PP)
The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696.Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north).
Take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the long stay car park.
Arriving at the car park:
Drive to the car park - driving directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. Take a ticket at the barrier, park in any space and keep your keys.
From there, it's a short walk to the term
On return
When you've got your bags, walk back to the car park. Drive to the barrier, put your ticket into the barrier and it will let you out. If you have any problems, press the help button on the machine to talk to a member of the team.
There are extra-wide spaces for disabled customers in Zone N.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £12 per day. This is subject to change.
