Have used FHR parking at Newcastle several times and have never been disappointed, the booking process is very easy and would highly recommend. A couple of tips, if you’re returning to your car just after midnight you will have to pay for that day, very often see cars stuck at the barriers, it also pays to remember the number on the bus shelter when using the courtesy bus as well as the lettered car park especially at night

On return, courtesy coach driver not particularly helpful . I think he probably thought everyone had used the service before and some of us hadn’t . Problem at exit barrier and had to pull over to one side . Not an easy task as there was a lot of people leaving . I would use the service again only because it is all there is .

Very very easy to access... came from Edinburgh and was a bit worried incase we couldn't find it. Instructions were very clear and no hassle with the barrier on exit. We would definitely use this service again.

Easy to use website & make booking. Only issue was when we got to Newcastle it wasn't very clear where the car park was. We ended up in the short stay then had to pay to get out. However we got clear directions from another traveller who was familiar with the area. Clearer and more sign posts would be good, if possible. Everything else was great. Good place to park. Will definitely use again.

Easy to book, easy to find. The only issue was we were parked in the gravel area at the far end of the car park and it seemed a long wait for the bus to the terminal, Infact we ended up walking, it was quicker. On return it was late 3.30 am and the bus was waiting so we got on but it took ages and was made difficult as people were getting on and off all the time and people were having to step foot off bus to allow people to get luggage off. Maybe need a bus for picking up and one for dropping off rather than doing both!!

Parked for a week in the long stay. Got parked straight away. Car park was well lit and you keep your car keys. Unfortunately there was no courtesy bus, i believe it may have been due to major works ongoing, so a short walk to the terminal. All in all would use again

When arriving back to collect our car during the hours of darkness, when using the complimentary bus service it would be useful if the driver could inform the passengers of the stop numbers and the parking bay compounds (ie) A B C D etc to assist people to get off the bus especially the elderly ones with poor eyesight. Apart from that I am very pleased with parking and security of area.

A good price and easy to arrange on line. The car was safe, and the instructions clear. We were shocked on our return to be confronted with a request for £111 by credit card to get through the barrier. Thank goodness there was a telephone connection and it was eventually sorted on providing my booking number. No apology was offered though. It was embarrassing and people in cars behind us were very impatient. We were tired after a long journey and didn’t need the hassle.

Directions for Long Stay (PP)
The airport is 10 minutes from Newcastle city centre on the A696.Turn right at the roundabout into the airport complex (or left if you're coming along the A696 from the north).
Take the first exit at the next roundabout and follow the signs for the long stay car park.
Arriving at the car park:
Drive to the car park - driving directions and a postcode for your satnav will be on your booking confirmation. Take a ticket at the barrier, park in any space and keep your keys.
From there, it's a short walk to the term
On return
When you've got your bags, walk back to the car park. Drive to the barrier, put your ticket into the barrier and it will let you out. If you have any problems, press the help button on the machine to talk to a member of the team.
There are extra-wide spaces for disabled customers in Zone N.
Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £12 per day. This is subject to change.
