Only downfall was the wait for the bus on the arrival back in the UK. Although informed we didn't have to phone anyone, flight times were known and there were cameras. It took a gentleman from belair parking to radio that we were waiting before the bus even set off. Although this is a small thing after a 4 hour flight waiting in the cold at midnight is not what you want to return home to.

Very friendly and not as helpful as usual normally upon arriving they put our bags into the mini bus but this time we had to do it unfortunately upon return they told my husband that they could not find my car and we had to wait for quite a while until they did this was early hours in the morning we were not offered any place to sit or a cup of tea which would have been a nice gesture after a 4 hour flight we never had this problem before at callerton which we have used several times in the last couple of years it is making us think of not using car parking at all at the airport for our next trip in November

On arrival were very friendly and helpful handed car keys over then took us straight 2 our destination no waiting or messing about,on our return they were waiting as our plane landed so no waiting about again very happy with there service would use them again and also recommend others 2 use them

It was dreadful, absolutely chaotic. When we arrive out of Newcastle airport there was a long queue of people where we were told to wait for Callerton parking. They were mostly waiting for another car park. The other car park bus came in and took them away. We waited for 15 mins for a coach to Callerton and then two arrived together. The day was dry, if it had been raining we would have been soaked. When we got to the car park the two buses blocked the exit and the people at the back of the car park could not get out, we were at the front and were ok. We have been leaving our car at Callerton for years, if this is the level of care then we will definitely be looking for some where else to go.

Bit of a nightmare when we arrived back and no car in sight. Callerton used to be so efficient but new computer does not mean more efficiency!!! We eventually got our car after 20 mins wait while it was located - not the best end to a holiday when we had an onward journey of 2 hours!

Great when we were leaving mini bus there no waiting about but on our return home seemed to wait a while to be picked up two other company's came to pick people up who came off other flights and did not wait as long as we did

Directions for Newcastle - Callerton Parking

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

FROM THE A1, take the slip road to the left, signed A696 Jedburgh and Airport; go along the A696 to the airport taking the 2nd slip road on the left, signed Woolsington & Throckley. At the top of the slip road turn right, go straight over the roundabout, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

SOUTHBOUND on A68/A696, go through the village of Ponteland towards Newcastle, straight over at the roundabout and along the dual carriageway. After approx. 500 yards, take the first slip road on left for Woolsington & Throckley. At top of slip road turn left, Callerton Parking is located on the right, as you approach the Metro lines.

EASTBOUND on the A69, travel along the A69 until you come to a turn off for Throckley. At the end of the slip road turn left onto the B6323. At T-junction turn right and continue on the road, taking the 2nd turn in left, signed Black Callerton (ignore 1st turn in for the Airport). Follow the road for approx. 2 miles. When you reach roundabout, go straight over, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

On arrival
Please report to the car park Reception on arrival and present your confirmation Voucher or FHR Booking Reference number. A member of our team will transfer you on our courtesy bus up to the terminal.

On return
On return, proceed to where the bus dropped you off on arrival (the large bus shelter directly in front of the terminal, just in front of the express car park). This is where the new pick up point is. One of our representatives will be awaiting your return to take you back to Callerton Parking.

Can you have your car parked under cover ?Thank you for your enquiry, we have contacted Callerton Parking who have advised that they do not offer undercover parking.
What happens if I notice damage to my vehicle not caused by myself but after being parked at Callerton car park? It was dark when I collected my vehicle so I was unable to see any damage until I returned home. No car park will normally not allow claims after the car has been taken out of the car park. However if you wish to forward details to customerservices@bookfhr.com we will
can I get an earlier transfer back to my car if my flight lands before the specified timeTransfers are running all the time so that would not be a problem
