We arrived at callerton parking on day of the flight to find it closed so had to ring yourselves who then rang me back saying it was shut for resurfacing . We were told to go to bellair opposite i am just glad we got there in plenty of time . It would have been nice to been notified of this arrangement before arriving on the day , causing anxiety !

Generally better service than my last two visits (under changed management) - although we were transferred to nearby parking lot as Callerton was being resurfaced. The service at both departure and collection was excellent. However, it is clear the pick up procedures at airport are still subject to some confusion - - as we got on bus to "Park and Fly" - which they thought meant the park behind the nearby hotel - but this the name for the whole parking outfit! If they are going to use different minibuses to go to different parking lots (which makes sense) they need to give them much more clearly defined names and next expect customers to work out which ones they mean!

We arrived at Callerton Parking early (20 mins) to find the gate locked and chained and a sign saying the car park was closed for maintenance! We had not received any prior notification albeit it was obvious the work had been scheduled well in advance! We were directed to another car park nearby only to find that was also locked and gated! That too was not staffed albeit personnel did arrive soon afterwards. On return we asked to be taken to the car park where our car had been left only to be told it was now at Callerton. This is the second occasion we have experienced issues at Callerton and, though the car park is perfectly fine when operating normally, these experiences tend to leave a doubt as to whether it's better to simply use the 'main' airport long term parking facilities rather than parking off site!

callerton parking was closed when I arrived after driving around eventually found a sign that said we had to use belair parking why not send out an email prior to arrival to cut out confusion

Well, we didn't actually leave the car at Callerton cos they were having essential maintenance work done and we were transferred to Bellair instead. Obviously because of that I can't give a rating but I will say that Bellair service was good.

Callerton Parking closed so we were directed to Bellair site, just over the road from Callerton so easy to reach owned by same company as all car parks around Newcastle airport. It was expensive to Park but transfers were good for us on the day.

Directions for Newcastle - Callerton Parking

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

FROM THE A1, take the slip road to the left, signed A696 Jedburgh and Airport; go along the A696 to the airport taking the 2nd slip road on the left, signed Woolsington & Throckley. At the top of the slip road turn right, go straight over the roundabout, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

SOUTHBOUND on A68/A696, go through the village of Ponteland towards Newcastle, straight over at the roundabout and along the dual carriageway. After approx. 500 yards, take the first slip road on left for Woolsington & Throckley. At top of slip road turn left, Callerton Parking is located on the right, as you approach the Metro lines.

EASTBOUND on the A69, travel along the A69 until you come to a turn off for Throckley. At the end of the slip road turn left onto the B6323. At T-junction turn right and continue on the road, taking the 2nd turn in left, signed Black Callerton (ignore 1st turn in for the Airport). Follow the road for approx. 2 miles. When you reach roundabout, go straight over, Callerton Parking is located on the right, just before the Metro lines.

On arrival
Please report to the car park Reception on arrival and present your confirmation Voucher or FHR Booking Reference number. A member of our team will transfer you on our courtesy bus up to the terminal.

On return
On return, proceed to where the bus dropped you off on arrival (the large bus shelter directly in front of the terminal, just in front of the express car park). This is where the new pick up point is. One of our representatives will be awaiting your return to take you back to Callerton Parking.

Can you have your car parked under cover ?Thank you for your enquiry, we have contacted Callerton Parking who have advised that they do not offer undercover parking.
What happens if I notice damage to my vehicle not caused by myself but after being parked at Callerton car park? It was dark when I collected my vehicle so I was unable to see any damage until I returned home. No car park will normally not allow claims after the car has been taken out of the car park. can I get an earlier transfer back to my car if my flight lands before the specified timeTransfers are running all the time so that would not be a problem
