When we arrived at the barrier at Car Park 3 we were told (very rudely) "did ye no' read the signs?" ... No we didn't see any signs !!! We were then told to take a ticket to open the barrier then use the ticket to go back out and make our way to another car park (it was only across the road) but it would have been nicer to have been emailed beforehand so we didn't have to 'read the signs' in the dark!!

The instructions on what to do when you arrive at the car park need updating. We pressed the button as directed but then had to wait ages for a response only to be told to take a ticket anyway. This then had to be validated within the airport building. I don't have a problem with this but would have found it easier to know what we should have been doing beforehand.

Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a five minute walk from the car par to the terminal, over a railway bridge. No trolleys are available for luggage and no lift down to the terminal, only escalators and stairs.

Remotely operated barrier, no-one on site, just video monitoring. Operator recognised my car from the number plate, so very easy to use. You can drop off and pickup your family and luggage from the terminal for free (although you need to take a short stay ticket), so only the driver has to make the 5 minute walk over the bridge to/from the long stay car park.

ONLY REASON BEING IS THAT ITS ADVERTISED AS 3 MINS FROM THE TERMINAL BUT ITS NOT. YOU NEED TO PARK AND WALK ALL THROUGH THE CAR PARK, UP-FLIGHTS OF STAIRS, OVER A WALKWAY AND THEN INTO THE TERMINAL. HOOD-WINKED AS THIS WAS LONGER THAN GOING TO WATSONS AND GETTING DROPPED AT THE DOOR AND A FEW STEPS INTO THE TERMINAL - ALSO MORE EXPENSIVE AND FURTHER AWAY FROM THE TERMINAL. HAD TO TRAIL KIDS OVER THE BRIDGE ETC AT MID-NIGHT WHICH AGAIN WAS A NIGHTMARE

Directions for Long Stay Car Park 3

Follow the signs for Glasgow Prestwick Airport. On arrival at the airport it may be more convenient to drop passengers and luggage off at the terminal as you are allocated 5 minutes free. Then follow signs across to the other side of the roundabout which will take you to Prestwick Airport Car Park 3

On arrival
Please have your booking confirmation on hand on arrival at the car park. Press the intercom on the left side of the screen, (quote the five letter booking reference number underneath your car details) a member of staff will process your booking then give you access to the car park.

DO NOT PRESS FOR TICKET- DO NOT INSERT YOUR PAYMENT CARD.

Please use train station walkover to access the terminal building.

On return, Due to recent changes at the airport, customers will now need to have their car park ticket validated at the Information Centre located near to check-in before returning to their vehicle.

This carpark is unable to accept disabled passengers.
