I would give 5 stars if only the buses were a bit more frequent at rush hr. I parked at 17.35 and was at Terminal at 18.00.

Despite trying to form a queue people just push into the bus in front. Perhaps some system? We had to wait for two. Also the long stay signs at stansted are confusing and wrong. You are directed right out of the airport and when you walk along then see another sign that says right. Ultimately the bus came 100 yards away from the crowd of confused people that built up.

It worked and at a reasonable rate. No long bus wait but a bit cramped with the boards skis etc Remember your car park and bus stop etc!

All good but the wait for the bus/coach on our return pickup was really long and the amount of people waiting was insane!! Hence not enough buses running??

Pick-up and drop off were efficient and driver helpful. Don't forget to make a note of you car park number and bus stop number as car park is huge.

Found car park easy and parked car okay but when we went to get on bus there was a huge queue and it took almost 45mins to get on the bus to airport never happened to us before but there was about 100 people waiting and it was 3 30 am on the way back home everything went like clockwork bus arrived at airport promptly and worked very well.

Bad experience this time. Would not accept ticket on way out said I owed £350. Tried again same happened. Asked for assistants man said I owed money. I said no and I quoted my reference and he eventually let me out. Not impressed

The journey time was ok - seemed longer than 5-10 minutes though. The bus frequency was outside 5-10 minutes, it was over 20 minutes on the return at which point many were in the Q. This also gave people luggage issues as this was skiing season and half term week this also caused Q jumping. It would probably have been ok if the 5-10 minute bus frequency had been delivered.

The current journey is not ending right. It is difficult to find the right car, unfortunately have not written the correct zone. I got help, so I finally found the car .. The rest was okay.

The wait from car park to the terminal building was 15 minutes and that was at 9am in the morning. Expected same on return at 10.30pm and that's what we got. Paid the cost of £39.99 upfront but when we put the ticket in the machine to get out of the car park, it said we had an outstanding amount owing of £144 and we were only gone a week!! Had to call for assistance and give booking reference so good to have it handy on departure.

The carpark was further away from the airport than we were expecting and the shuttle buses were not as frequent as we expected. Both on arrival and on our return we had to wait in excess of 10 mins for the bus.

Directions for Long Stay Car Park

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

Directions from London
Exit the M11 at Junction 8a and follow the directions below:
Take the left hand lane and follow the filter left.
At Priory Wood Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Round Coppice Road, you will pass the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the first exit into the Long Stay car park.

Directions from Cambridge
Exit the M11 at Junction 8 and follow the directions below:
Take the A120 exit to Stansted Airport.
At Priory Wood Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Round Coppice Road. At the next roundabout take the first exit, you will pass the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the first exit into the Long Stay car park.

To Enter:
Follow signs to our Long Stay car park. This car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition System (ANPR) so the barrier should rise for you upon arrival. If not please press the call button for assistance. DO NOT insert your Credit Card, you may be charged again.
Once you have parked your vehicle in an open zone, board a courtesy bus which will drop you in front of the terminal building. Please ensure that the bus you board is going to the correct zone.

To Exit:
When you arrive back from your trip, follow in-terminal signs for 'Buses to Long Stay and JetParks car parks'. Courtesy buses are located at the Long Stay and JetParks bus stops in front of the terminal. Please tell the driver where you have parked (i.e. Long Stay, Zone E, Bus stop 3).
Once you've returned to your vehicle, drive up to the exit barrier. Either the barrier will raise or if you were issued with a ticket, insert your ticket. If you have pre-booked DO NOT insert Credit Card at the barrier as you may be charged again. The barrier will open for you to exit. If you experience any difficulties, please press the call button for assistance.

Blue Badge Bays are located in Zone Q.
Long Stay height restriction 3.5 m or 11' 6"
High vehicles, oversized vehicles and vehicles with trailers should use Zone Q.
When you arrive, the machine should take no more than about 15 seconds to recognise your number plate and give you a ticket. If this doesn't happen or you have any problems, just press the help button. Don't insert a credit or debit card or you may be charged again for your parking.


At the discretion of the car park you will have a 4 hour grace period prior to arrival and a 6 hour grace period on return. If you arrive or depart outside your booking period, you will incur an additional charge based on Stansted Airport's standard tariff - If you pick your car up early, we can't give you a refund.

I have a VW T5 caravelle will that height be ok in the long stay car park?Do you allow Bike Boxes on the shuttle?The height restriction at the car park is -  3.5 m or 11' 6"
