The way there was fine, but we had to wait for over 40mins for a shuttle bus to go back to the car park on return-not the every 10mins advertised. Just grateful it was that way round or I'd have been worried about missing my flight!

Transfer was amazing both to and from airport and parking there was very easy. The only quarm I had was that although I had prebooked it and had a reference number I didn't have anywhere to write it when arriving or leaving so I wasn't sure if I had been to the correct car park.it would have been great if when arriving it says prebooked on the printed ticket or something like that. Other than that. Cracking stuff. 2nd time I have used the car park and won't hesitate to do so again.

Long stay parking easily found following directions given. Easy access Long stay bus was a bit overdue and very crowded, even though 5am! On return long stay bus arrived at Terminal promptly and took us to section where our car was parked. Exit from Car park easy ,following insertion of card. Excellent and good value.

The numberplate was not recognised at the barrier and I had to phone the car park. However, they recognised the reference number that I quoted on exit.

Disappointed had booked and paid in advance but when ticket was inserted it tried to charge us £144.00. Good job some-one was on duty to sort this out. Not good though

I've used the Stansted long stay many times and it is never entirely convenient. The Car number recognition never gets my car number right and I always have a problem getting out through the gates. On my last visit they couldn't find my booking details or booking reference. I had all my booking details printed out and they eventually let me go but, while a 10-15 minute delay isn't exactly life and death it's a pain in the backside when you want to get going and hit the road for home. The best thing about it is its convenient location and pickup and dropoff service. Nevertheless, I will, no doubt, use it again.

Arrival and transfers all smooth. On return our ticket was not recognised as prepay and said we owed £144! The man on the intercom said initially that our booking number was not recognised or even one of theirs but let us out eventually.

Normally no problems but this time there was a problem at the barrier on our return, it asked for payment so we had to answer questions before we were finally let out.

Booked the Long Stay Parking at Stansted. It took over 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive to take us back to the carpark. Not the 10-15 minutes advertised. Would make me think twice, as we saw 3 x midstay buses turn up in that time. Bus was clean, tidy, good condition, driver pleasant.

We were about 15 metres from the bus when it drove off but we were picked up shortly after by jet parks which was v kind of their driver. Otherwise the service would have been 5 star.

One thing, your website wasn't actually explicit in saying that you are so easy to find, just follow the signs for Stanstead, and then follow the signs for the Long Stay Car Park. Thanks, Richard

I often have problems with the automatic recognition at this car park but not this time. It was not easy to see the pre-booked lane at the exit until I was right on top of it but it was foggy

Directions for Long Stay Car Park

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

Directions from London
Exit the M11 at Junction 8a and follow the directions below:
Take the left hand lane and follow the filter left.
At Priory Wood Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Round Coppice Road, you will pass the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the first exit into the Long Stay car park.

Directions from Cambridge
Exit the M11 at Junction 8 and follow the directions below:
Take the A120 exit to Stansted Airport.
At Priory Wood Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Round Coppice Road. At the next roundabout take the first exit, you will pass the Novotel hotel on your left.
At the next roundabout take the first exit into the Long Stay car park.

To Enter:
Follow signs to our Long Stay car park. This car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition System (ANPR) so the barrier should rise for you upon arrival. If not please press the call button for assistance. DO NOT insert your Credit Card, you may be charged again.
Once you have parked your vehicle in an open zone, board a courtesy bus which will drop you in front of the terminal building. Please ensure that the bus you board is going to the correct zone.

To Exit:
When you arrive back from your trip, follow in-terminal signs for 'Buses to Long Stay and JetParks car parks'. Courtesy buses are located at the Long Stay and JetParks bus stops in front of the terminal. Please tell the driver where you have parked (i.e. Long Stay, Zone E, Bus stop 3).
Once you've returned to your vehicle, drive up to the exit barrier. Either the barrier will raise or if you were issued with a ticket, insert your ticket. If you have pre-booked DO NOT insert Credit Card at the barrier as you may be charged again. The barrier will open for you to exit. If you experience any difficulties, please press the call button for assistance.

Blue Badge Bays are located in Zone Q.
Long Stay height restriction 3.5 m or 11' 6"
High vehicles, oversized vehicles and vehicles with trailers should use Zone Q.
When you arrive, the machine should take no more than about 15 seconds to recognise your number plate and give you a ticket. If this doesn't happen or you have any problems, just press the help button. Don't insert a credit or debit card or you may be charged again for your parking.


At the discretion of the car park you will have a 4 hour grace period prior to arrival and a 6 hour grace period on return. If you arrive or depart outside your booking period, you will incur an additional charge based on Stansted Airport's standard tariff - If you pick your car up early, we can't give you a refund.

I have a VW T5 caravelle will that height be ok in the long stay car park?Do you allow Bike Boxes on the shuttle?The height restriction at the car park is -  3.5 m or 11' 6"
