Hotel was convenient and checking in was courteous and professional, the room was excellent. Return process equally good. Restaurant services were overloaded and unable to cope with private parties and the considerable number of "Gatwick" customers. Prior warning may have allowed us to make alternative eating arrangements.

We thought this was extremely competitively priced compared to the cost of just parking and the overnight at the Copthorne took the pressure out of a Monday morning drive to the airport. Both transfers were hassle free and we were particular impressed on the return with the speed with which a car arrived to collect us. We upgraded the hotel room on arrival and found a space easily in the car park. We were dubious about signing a declaration about the condition of the car before leaving the premises on our return as it was midnight and we didn't feel we could inspect the car fully in the dark. Therefore the hotel agreed not to move the car but just asked us to leave the keys. The car was where we left it and was unmarked.

Stayed in the Copthorne Hotel in Copthorne just for one night and 2 weeks of parking in April. An outstanding experience to be honest. This is a very nice hotel 5 minutes from the motoway exit with very helpful staff. Get the discounted breakfast vouchers the night before is my advice. They also have an arrangement with a local taxi company to get you to Gatwick for the same PP price as the Hopper which is another excellent feature. Didn`t try the leisure club but looked good. Food looked OK in the bar but restaurant pricey but found a good pub 5 minutes away by car/taxi called the Cherry Tree.

A good hotel in a great location. £9.50 taxi to airport which was very easy. Hotel food was great and room was comfortable. We have stayed at Effington before but Copthorne seems to be better furnished.

Everything went smoothly. Ticket didn't work on our way out so had to drive back round. All in all very happy with the service. Didn't know where we were going until after we booked. Was pleasantly surprised. Have done the same for our trips in May and June and both times got the copthorne hotel. Staff very friendly. Room clean and adequate for the night. We didn't eat here as found it quite expensive. We would probably have had breakfast, but our flight was early. Pick up from road runner on time and efficient.

We booked this as a mystery hotel and had no worries about it not meeting 4star standard as we had already stayed in their sister hotel nearby. Unlike with some other hotels when allocating rooms for cheap agency bookings, the room we were given was large, modern and well equipped. Only one comment here - the hotel seems to have miles of corridors. If you have a mobility problem it might be worth mentioning it either to the booking agency or phone the hotel prior to arrival so you get a room closer to reception, restaurants bar etc. The staff were all very friendly even at 4. 30 in the morning when we left for our early holiday flight. Alarm call came at the time we requested and the taxi turned up on time as booked. We were told they would move the car to somewhere else on the premises while we were away but when we returned to collect the car a week later, they had moved it to a bay at the front of the hotel and told us where it was so we did not have to scour the car park for it. Only downside - the food and drink in the bar were a little on the pricey side. We needed to eat early before the restaurants opened. If we had been able to wait, we could probably have had a decent 2 course set meal in one of the restaurants for not much more. Worth checking this out before deciding what to do.

Great value airport hotel. Very clean comfortable room - the only reason I haven't scored 5/5 was the receptionist was very unhelpful. We rang ahead to check if food would be available as we were arriving after 10pm - otherwise we were going to stop along the way. We were assured the restaurant served until 10:30 but room service was available 24hours. The receptionist told us on arrival at 10:15 that the restaurant was closed and room service was cold food only! It was only another member of staff interrupting her that told us we could still order hot food from room service until 10:30 that saved the day!!

We stayed at the Copthorne Gatwick for one night before our flight to Antigua. The room was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. We didn't eat there. Drinks were expensive but nothing unusual for airport hotels. The hotel itself was pleasant and the staff exceptionally helpful and arranged our taxi transfer, which was very reasonable at £9.50 one way. We had a major problem after check in for our flight when my husband realised he had left his keys in the room. He phoned them and they were great..they checked the room and found they keys and kept them safe for our return when we would pick up our car, meaning we had a worry free holiday. Bit of hassle with the taxi pick up on return..the pick up point is not a designated one and the traffic wardens were out in force meaning our driver had a problem stopping to collect us. They need to sort this out, but that's for the taxi company, but the hotel should be aware. Would definitely stay at the copthorne again.

The Copthorne Hotel was easy to find. The staff were helpful. The food we ordered in the evening was overcooked so that the pastry was inedible. A replacement was given to us but this was not much better. Bad cooking at inflated prices. The car parking arrangement was fine.

My wife and I enjoyed the comfort of our room, had an enjoyable evening with a nice meal supported with good service. We did however feel very let down by the transfer service to the airport. We left our room to catch the first transfer at 04.15am. Having paid our bill we waited and despite the receptionist contacting the transport company twice a taxi arrived 25 minutes late. The driver advised he could only transport 3 people as he already had a passenger yet there were 4 people booked to go to the airport. The driver made no apology Did not help with the luggage and made us late for our check in. So a nice stay completely marred by the transfer.

Pre-Authorisation Policy
A pre-authorisation of up to £50.00 is required upon arrival. This deposit is fully refundable 7-10 days after check-out provided no additional charges have been incurred.
Coming off at Junction 10 from the M23, follow the signpost to the A264 for East Grinstead. At the first roundabout head straight over, you will then shortly arrive at another roundabout.
At the Copthorne roundabout take the 4th exit, just passed the turning for the Copthorne Hotel sign posted for Three Bridges on the A2220.
Proceed down Copthorne Road, at the roundabout take the first exit onto the Balcombe Road, continue down this road past the Hillside Inn pub on your left.
Approaching a mini roundabout, take the first exit onto Turners Hill Road.
Travel along Turners Hill Road, after the Flyover take the first left into the Hotel which is situated 100yards on the first exit on the right hand side.
From the Copthorne Roundabout the hotel has brown signposts along the route.
Parking is on site at hotel, youÂ’ll need to give your keys to the hotel in case your car needs to be moved into the long stay area of the car-park whilst youÂ’re away.
Overnight Parking will be chargeable at £10 if you have not booked an on site parking package.
