Have used Jet 1 car park at East Midlands Airport many times. Quick & easy to book, I had to amend my times but that was easy to do as well. Would definitely book again.

Parking spaces a bit narrow, and surface wasn't very good. Was easy to find, and shuttle was fine.

Fab. Quick.easy. No problem with new number plate recognition. although jet parks only signed from one direction at the final roundabout. Have used the parking on donington park before/ not quite where we thought. Not the same. Change of name too. just down the road. buses frequent

A hassle free trip. everything went like clockwork. Once the car was dropped off the bus came within a few minutes to take us to the terminal. On our return the bus was there in minutes to take us back to the car. Overall a pleasant experience.

Site seemed very safe and secure, but ANPR failed to recognise number plate on homeward journey causing unnecessary delay and frustration following a tiring night flight. Communications on display unclear, no one around to help.

The bus driver was rude on our outward journey the storage space was insufficient to store cases and sit down as he was insisting passengers should do! He just shouted without assessment of the problem very unpleasant, spoiled the beginning of the holiday. The return bus trip was much better.

The automatic car park number recognition didn't work and when I quoted the booking number off my booking confirmation to the operative he had no record of the booking. Eventually we realised that the car park booking reference was a separate number located some 4 pages later and their were actually 2 booking reference numbers. However, I would have expected the registration number of the vehicle and post code of the booking to be sufficient information anyway but it wasn't. One of the coach transfer drivers got annoyed as we were stuck at the barrier for a few minutes, not sure how he expected us to get through! After this the transfer was efficient and a member of the car park staff gave us a token to exit.

On exiting EMA to catch the return bus, signs in and outside the airport are poor for the pick up point. When the bus did arrive, it took at least 15 mins for it to pull off even though it was full. All in all, from arriving at the bus pick up point to getting off at the car park, it took 35 - 40 mins.

Directions for Jet Parks 1

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

Important

During hot weather we recommend that removing all alcohol-based hand sanitiser products from vehicles when they are not occupied as they pose a risk of igniting and causing a fire.

From the North leave the M1 at Junction 24 and, following the signs to the airport, take the
A453 for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right into the airport.
From the South leave the M1 at Junction 23a and follow the signs to the airport.
From the West follow A50 to J24 then follow the signs to East Midlands Airport

Before your arrival at the Airport please ensure you have your booking reference details with you. Upon arrival at the airport, Long stay car parks are clearly signposted but entering the site at the main entrance, turn left at the first roundabout following the road until the next roundabout. Proceed straight on, reaching a third roundabout. Turn left and at the next roundabout turn left again. At the fifth roundabout, go straight to Jet Parks 1 (formerly Shuttle Economy 1 and Car Park 7).

Drive up to the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and stop
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and subsequently open the barrier to allow you entry
Please DO NOT press for a ticket to gain access to the car park, as this is not required and doing so will disable the ANPR system in relation to your booking

A courtesy coach service operates to provide transport to and from the Terminal Building, please allow 20 minutes for the transfer. Airline recommended check-in times are usually 2 hours prior to departure.

On exiting the car park:
Proceed straight to the exit barrier and stop
The ANPR system will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you(which will be the ref. starting in the comments section of your voucher) and subsequently open the barrier to allow you exit
Please DO NOT in any circumstance insert your credit card or debit card into the barrier as a further payment will be taken
