Entry to Long Stay Car Park 1 presented no problem at all, leaving me with an entrance ticket complete with my car registration number. Departure one week later was a different story, when the ticket was not recognised at the barrier and a charge of some £74 was indicated by the machine! I pressed the help button to speak to the guy in the office, who claimed that he had never heard of your company, did not recognise my number plate and had my name listed for a different vehicle I had certainly never owned! After a 10 minute delay, fortunately I had my booking form in my travel case, located an EH reference number that satisfied the goon in the office, allowing me to head for home! So much for progress!

Car park 1 is only a short stroll from the Departure Hall at East Midlands and so it doesn't get much better than that! The cost of parking was quite reasonable and it was very easy to book it on line. Negatives? - the spaces are rather close together and some re-surfacing wouldn't go amiss.

Arrived in plenty of time for flight. only to find no spaces available in main car park. after searching for 30 minutes. We were informed that we would have to use a disabled space. We booked car park 1 due to its location to the terminal but ended up having a much further walk than anticipated.

A good airport parking service, the only problem was the instructions for taking the ticket from the machine at the airport, we were advised not to take the ticket from the machine and it would read the number plate automatically, but after talking to the office we were let in , they said it was a regular problem.

Booked parking on Long stay 1 starting on a Friday morning at 7am...the car park was really full already at this time but not a problem quickly found a space. There was a delay in us actually getting into the car park though. Had booked online and paperwork said the barrier would raise on entry automatically as it would recognize our car reg no....well it didnt. We had to buzz for help and it took a few minutes for the guy to answer us...by which time another car was behind us waiting to get in.too ..they actually got out of the car and asked us if they could help us....but the attendant apologized for keeping us waiting and quickly raised the barrier so not really such a big deal. It did recognize reg on exit and raised immediately.

Directions for Short Stay 3

You cannot get a refund or amend a parking booking less than 72 hours before the day of travel. For example, your last opportunity to change your package, if you're flying at 3pm on the 10th, will be 23:59 on the 6th.

Important

During hot weather we recommend that removing all alcohol-based hand sanitiser products from vehicles when they are not occupied as they pose a risk of igniting and causing a fire.

Getting here
On arrival at the airport main entrance, please turn left at the roundabout and then follow signs to Short Stay 3.

If using sat nav please ensure you input the following coordinates exactly in order to reach the entrance: N52.823814 W1.333670

On arrival at the car park:
Drive up to the entrance barrier for your chosen car park and stop
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you and subsequently open the barrier to allow you entry
Please DO NOT press for a ticket to gain access to the car park, as this is not required and doing so will disable the ANPR system in relation to your booking
On exiting the car park:
Proceed straight to the exit barrier and stop
The ANPR system will read your vehicles number plate, verify this against your booking details and the barrier should then open automatically. Please note, this process may take up to 30 to 40 seconds to happen
If for any reason the barrier does not open after this time, please press the Assistance button and a member of staff will confirm your booking details with you (which will be the ref. starting EH in the comments section of your voucher) and subsequently open the barrier to allow you exit
Please DO NOT in any circumstance insert your credit card or debit card into the barrier as a further payment will be taken
